Having problems with your Canon PowerShot A460 Digital Camera ?
Please help! I have a Canon Powershot A460. When I take pictures in macro mode, they are all flashed out, so bright even if taken indoor. I can barely make out an
image. But if I take normal shot, results seem normal. I have read the manual -basic & advanced- but I can't find the right solution. This does not happen before.
Try going into the M(anual) mode on the selector dial and then turn off the flash (press the right side of the controller button until you see the lightning bolt with a bar through it). The macro shooting option should still be available in the manual mode.

White out Every photo I take seems to white out, as if it is letting in to much light. But it is more than this, as it is possible to see white streaking on the image as well. I have also tried taking photos in various manual settings, resulting in the same problem. It seems to be a little better in doors. However when I use video mode the image is normal. This problem first occured on holiday in Singapore - when I took it into a shop out there they said it was probably the heat. But the problem

I have a Canon zoom lens EF-5 18-55mm for my Canon EOS 450D. I am having trouble with my AF. If I set it on AF it will not focus automatically, but if I manually turn the lens for a close up it will then take the picture. Then and only then will the AF for long distance shot come into operation! After taking that shot it reverts back to not focussing. What can I do, if anything, to rectify this malfunction? Missing shots I have a Coolpix L18/L16 Nikon and I am missing all of my pictures. I take them but by the time the shot goes through the picture is lost. It continually results in pictures where my daughter's eyes are closed. What can I do? I am guessing that some setting is off which makes it take too long to snap the photo.

PICTURE TAKING Wonder if anyone can help me? Whenever I try to take a picture on my C-350 Zoom there is a long delay, of about 3 seconds, between me pressing the button and the flash operating to take the picture. This means I can never take any action shots and am even struggling to take family snapshots. I've checked this against other cameras and they only seem to take 1 to 1.5 seconds. I've looked through the operating manual and can't seem to find any solution. Any help would be greatly

Focus problems I have 2 digital cameras already so I know to hold the button down 1/2 way for focusing. The Nikon is new. I HATE manuals. I am having trouble focusing on close up shots. They are either real blurry or slightly out of focus. It seems the shutter speed is so slow that any movement of my hand ruins the shot. I can take a shot of something, a plant for instance, pulled in fairly close. One shot may be ok and the next one is blurry
There are two likely reasons for the blurry pictures. One possibility is, as you surmised, a slow shutter speed. Try mounting the camera on a tripod or other stable support. You might also try turning on the flash. The other reason is focu ... Digital Cameras
