Having problems with your Canon PowerShot A520 Digital Camera ?

Every time i turn my camera on it asks for the date and time to be entered. Is there an internal battery that is dead?

Answers :

Yes, the clock battery has died. This is very inexpensive and easily replaceable. Lift up the rubber flap on the left side of your camera. Pry open the little sliding door just under the flap. Pay attention to the little button battery inside and how it's installed (you won't want to put in its replacement upside down). Go to the battery section at your local pharmacy and look for a CR1220 battery. It's very common, and should only cost a few dollars. Reinstall the replacement in your camera, and you should be good to go. Note that Walmart's watch section also carries this battery but it will be more costly than Rite-Aid or Walgreens pharmacy (I know, it's unusual).

My Sony 7.2 Cybershot camera recently ran out of battery, so I charged it. Once it was done charging, I put the battery back in. The screen showed up asking me to insert the current date and time, so I did so. Next, the zoom lense went out and in, out and in, and out and in while the screen said "Access". Next, it told me to turn the camera off and on again. Nothing happens when I do so, and I've done it about 10 times to no avail. Is this a fixable problem?

Batteries This camera has been the worst digital camera I have ever used.  The pic quality is fine.  The ease of use is fine.  The problem lies in the battery longevity.  Maybe that is not even the right description.  I will put in new batteries and only use my camera for a short time.  The next time I go to use the camera it is not at all uncommon for it to not turn on.  Even though it has new batteries and was not left on, the batteries are dead.  It happens with the rechargeable as well as re
