Having problems with your Canon PowerShot A520 Digital Camera ?

Memory Twice now the entire library of pictures we saved completely erased. We're not sure how they're erasing... we must have accidently pressed a button that deleted them but how can it be that it's so easy to erase ALL the pictures? I feel like there should atleast be a prompt that asks "delete all pictures? yes or no" like there is with text messages and emails or anything else. Is there a way to get our pictures back? Is there a back up memory??

I had the same problem. I think if you go into the menu area and somewhere theres an option called "format" I pressed it and all my pics just disappeared without any warning. I've just learned to steer clear of the format option.
Assuming you can access the card in your computer either via the camera or via a card reader you do have a chanve of getting some back - the latest batch and some of earlier sessions if not over written\015\012Go to www.konvar.com and download PCInspector,\015\012Install the program and run it. direct it to the image source and run the program- see what happens

Trouble Connecting I went to upload my pictures onto my MacBook and the camera won't connect. It had been working fine before and I hadn't changed anything. I tried taking out batteries and memory card, switching USB ports, and making sure the camera was set on USB and not the disk setting. What else can I try?I feel like I had this problem before and maybe it had something to do with Rosetta on Macs...could that be it? But I don't know how/where/what to do for that.Thank you,Tia
