Hi, I have the same camera and the same problem. I have tried digital camera batteries and rechargeable batteries and just plain duracells, and they all give me the same results. As a feature on this camera it has image stabilization and auto focus and thats the problem, geek squad told me. This camera takes good pictures but DONT buy it if you want fast or action pics. Its nothing that you're doing wrong or anything, its just and unconvenience of the particular camera
Are you still using alkaline batteries? If so, alkaline batteries just don't have the power for more than a few pics in a digital camera. Some may even have problems just powering startup of the camera or charging the flash. Digital cameras for the most part should only be used with rechargeable NiMH batteries. Retailers sells these for around $7 for a package of four (about $15-19 for the batteries with charger). Keep in mind they'll save you big bucks in the long run over alkalines, AND they'll last for at least 100 pictures per charge (and probably many many more). You'll be very pleased with their performance, and may slap yourself for not buying them sooner. When at the store, look on the package for a power rating of at least 2500 mah.

My Canon SD950 IS camera will take about 30 seconds to take a flash picture. You have to hold down the shutter button for a long time. The flash indicator flashes on the display for quite a while and then the picture is finally taken. This seems to have happened after the battery was run down to nothing. After that, this flash problem appeared. I have got another battery but this still happens. I have reset to default settings as well . Still has problem. What is wrong?

Very slow After I take a picture it takes a very long time until I can take another one. The viewfinder lamp swithces slowly from green to orange and the camera is not responding to anything until the lamp stays green. It takes even longer if i used the flash. Anyway I can fix it? I opened the camera and I noticed there is a battery (like a watch battery). Can that be replaced? Anybody knows anything about this battery? Thank you in advance for any feedback.
