I did all the above turned on the computer the camera bleeped the green light BUT no action
If you do not have the manual, you can download it at this site. the advanced manual will give you complete instructions for using your particular camera
\015\012http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=320&modelid=14824
\015\012Install the camera software on the computer. You would have gotten a disc with the camera. Turn off all other runniing programs while you do the install including your virus control. After you have install the program restart your computer.
\015\012
\015\012Now, a few photog hints:
\015\012
\015\012You are shooting in Macro mode. You need to find out from the manual how far away you have to be with the camera. (you can use the zoom to get a closer result). You need very strong light, or you need to cover the persons eyes with something substantial such as a thick folded towel. You can not fire the flash into a person eyes at close range. You need to shoot using a tripod. Macro shots are hard to get with good focus, so a tripod is always best. if you cannot use a regular tripod, then purchase a small tripod for a digital that you can wear around your neck and brace it's legs against your chest.
\015\012
\015\012Now to make the actual shot you need to focus using the focusing brackets on the screen. You point the camera where you want it and push the shutter button HALF way down to focus your shot, if it is not clear then make any needed adjustments and focus again. When you can see on the screen that it is a clear shot then finish depressing the shutter button.
\015\012
\015\012Make sure that you have a card in the camera, and set the camera for macro mode.
\015\012Shoot your photos. Turn off the camera. use the cord that comes with the camera and hook the USB end into the computer(the bigger end. You should have USB ports in back or in front. there will be alittle diagram. Make sure the little diagram on the cord is upright to match the one on the computer. Your camera will have a little door on the body that when you open it you will find the little socket that the other end fits into. Now you can turn on the camera and download your photos to your computer.
\015\012
\015\012
\015\012If yo have any trouble or any questions doing this let me know. I would suggest some trial runs taking pictures of each other before you get to the other people. Thank you for using Fix Ya and please rate this solution.
