They are rechargeable batteries each time \015\012\015\012Second...major problems downloading to our computer. Had same camera before but it broke. Now with new one, I cannot just hit one button and downlaod all new pictures into dated files. ARGH!\015

Most cameras use alot of energy so it could be normal but you may be using batteries that dont put out enough voltage. your rechargeable batteries may be wearing out (as they all eventually do). i suggest trying out duracells. the computer may have just reconized the old camera so it knew what to do but since you got a new one, your computer doesnt reconize it.

Battery Problem I have trouble with apparent battery failure due to bad contacts on the slide-out tray thingie that holds the batterys. Jamming it in several times when I change batteries sometimes helps, but often the camera will stop working in the middle of a shoot and indicate the battery is discharged. A quick in-and-out a couple of times of the thingie restores full battery power, but by then I've probably missed my picture. Anyone else have this problem? Other than that (and piss-poor aut

I've never had that problem, all I can suggest would be to fiddle with the contacts in the grip, or put a folded bit of paper behind the battery before you put on the little door to push it in further. ... Olympus Camedia E-20N Digital Camera

Or there?s always that flashing battery icon on screen, shortly followed by the ?battery empty? screen. Why? I am not using zoom. No repeated shooting. Monitor not left on.
