Pink tinge When I shoot a picture in bright sunlight, the picture always has a pink tinge to it. I have tried putting in manual mode, and adjusting the shutter speed and the f setting but I just can't seem to to get this to stop. I have also tried to adjust the white balance. I am new at doing this and I would like any help you can give. Thank you. All of the pictures have a very distorted color. They all have a pinkish-violet color. They look awful. I tried resetting by scrolling to the 'reset

Forgets settings My optio s40 worked well until just after the warranty expired. Then it started acting up. It maintains the default settings in auto mode. It allows me to change them, but when I shut it off and power up again, it has returned to the default settings. In Pict mode, it maintains EV +1, AWB as flourescent lighting and image size as one higher than the smallest size. Again, I can change the settings, but when I shut it off and power up again, these are the settings it has. Any idea

I had the same problem. Pentax told me to format the memory inside the camera (take out the memory stick and camera will be set to camera memory). This works! (though i have to do it approx every 200pics, the problem keeps coming back!) ... Pentax Optio S40 Digital Camera

My flash seems to be stuck in the "suppressed" mode. Also the Manual on page 64 refers to a "turn" of the "command dial" to the "flash mode setting". Since that item is not described anywhere else and the only turnable dial is the "mode" dial, I assume that it means to press the flash mode arrow. When I do that nothing happens. The flash modes do not display as described in the manual. I can't figure out how to get the flash to function properly again. I have made all my attempts with fre

Hi, I have a panasonic Lumix, DMC-FS5 digital camera. When I turn the camera on and it's on 'photograph' mode, a message keeps appearing after a couple of seconds saying: "please turn camera off and then on again". I get the same message everytime and am unable to take any photos or even access the menu options. There are no problems when the mode is set to 'playback' mode. The images are still there and I can scroll through, as well as access the menu.

I have a rebel xt 350D , using 75-300mm 5.6f lens to do some girls basketball photography inside a gym. Had camera set on: ISO 1600, M mode, 5.6f, 200 shutter speed (that seem to set automatically), used built in flash, Exposure level was in the middle of the chart, auto focus, al servo, continuous shooting, used awb. Got pretty good freeze action shots, with little or no blurring but the photos were dark. Some I could make lighter with photoshop but lost some detail and the contrast was too muc

Unless you were up close and personal, the built-in flash was your problem. Anything past about 15 feet and your picture will be dark. You would have been better off turning the flash off and using available light. Once the flash is off, you can set ... Digital Cameras

My Nikon Coolpix 4800 is behaving strangely. In all shooting modes (except landscape, where it automatically zooms in completely and will not zoom out), it works properly. But in all menu modes it switches by itself every couple of seconds between the viewfinder and the screen and it cycles rapidly (with occasional brief pauses) through the menu items. By timing the cycling, I was able to reset it to the factory settings, but that didn't solve anything. Is there some way to reinstall or reboo

I have a Samsung SL202 which I purchased because it was pretty much auto setting if I wanted. I liked the dial on the back to tell me what I was shooting. I'm not camera techie. I have tried most settings, different places in the house for light, etc., but they are never clear, the colors are not right, and the picture is too bright making the object look faded. I purchased DMC-FZ28 k August 2008. I am not a photographer and used iAuto function and other preset modes. The pics come out "flat" "dull" and lack vibrance and color depth.
