Having problems with your Canon PowerShot A70 Digital Camera ?

Now when I take a photo under any setting (auto P M etc) with my old faithful Cannon Powershot A70 it just gives me a white picture. However I can still take perfectly good and well coloured videos with it. What might be happening? Is there setting that is wrong or is part of the camera kaput do you think?

Answers :

Are you check ISO settings? When a picture is taken, the CCD is struck by light \012coming through the camera's lens. Each of the thousands or millions of \012tiny pixels that make up the CCD convert this light into electrons. The \012number of electrons, usually described as the pixel's accumulated \012charge, is measured, then converted to a digital value. This last step \012occurs outside the CCD, in a camera component called an \012analog-to-digital converter.

In order to correct this issue, the repair facility needs to replace the CCD. This is not something you may do on your own; check this article for additional details: Bad CCDs. This, isn't a good new, but hope helps to solve it.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your \012feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if\012 you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

After that, this flash problem appeared. I have got another battery but this still happens. I have reset to default settings as well . Still has problem. What is wrong?

I have an canon power shot A85. The image taken by it is so blur. We thought it may be the display issue, however the old picture saved in the card are still sharp.
