My Fuji FinePix S5000 has given me years of excelent service. While on break I stored the camera for 2-3 months. When I pulled it out I noticed I had inadvertantly stored it in the "playback" mode. It was of course in 'power save off' mode but when I turned it back on, the viewfinder and LCD monitor are black and it takes black pictures like as though the lense cover was on.
