Having problems with your Canon PowerShot A75 Digital Camera ?
Opening the camera
\015 My card will not insert all the way and it has been suggested that I need to open up the camera to fix a probably-spent pin. How do I open, where do I start, etc? Is this a risky proposition?\015
If you check you have probably some bended pin, I had the same and I put them back with a very small and long nose screw driver for camera but the suggestion of a long needle is also good but don't open the camera because I did and we can not remove that part or work on it because you will have to break a type of sealed electronic card so it is impossible for someone who does not have all the tools and resources for it. It need patience to bring back straight up the bend pin. You also need a magnifying glass to see clearly were to put it back in a good alignment. But I succeed there was more than 3 bended pins.
That is a very risky proposition as you might say. you know nothing about its architecture. The people who knows this things are found on the Canon Service Station/Center. To avoid future problem that may arise if you'll gonna do it yourself, just visit the nearest service station in your area.

When switched on the camera tries to open the lens. It is clearly being obstructed in some way, and after three attempts closes down with the message "Please turn camera off and on again". If tapped gently sometimes the lens will open, and if the lens is caught and encouraged to stay out then ooccasionally the camera opens as normal. If the lens does stay open the camera appears to function as normal.

My Olympus Fe-230 camera's lens won't open. I turn the camera on and it makes the sound of the lens opening, and the lens begin to "push out" but then retract. Camera problem My daughter just received a new HP635 camera for her birthday. At first the camera worked fine, but after a few minutes of use, the camera started flashing the welcome screen repeatedly and the zoom lense would move in and out over and over until we opened the battery storage compartment of the camera. Opening the battery compartment is the only way to turn the camera off. Everything on the camera becomes inoperable when this process starts which now is every time the camera is tu

When I power up the camera the lens opens and immediately retracts and the camera shuts off. I've attempted to push every button while turning on the camera to no avail. I also held onto the lens when it opened. Though the lens remained extended, the camera powered off. When I turned it back on the lens retracted and the camera powered off.

Lens Error I fell while holding my camera. The lens was open at the time and when I got up I turned the camera off. I then turned it back on to check it and the lens opened and immediately closed with the "lens error" on the screen. I can turn it off and on and the lens will always open but closes as soon as it has opened with the lens error on the screen. The shutter opens but closes also, like the lens. Can this be fixed? I dropped my Canon Powershot SD750 digital camera and the extended lens was stuck open. I had no other options so I opened the camera up to fix it. I corrected it, but after I put the camera back together it takes poor pics. In normal light conditions it over exposes and pic looks really bright and also has many lines going through the picture? I love the camera and don't want to buy another one. I tried a different memory card and reset function under the menu.

The cover on the battery and SD card opening on the camera broke off and couldn't be found on the ground. A small piece of cover and the hinge are still on the camera. Hi, I had a spare kodak c330 camera which was in perfect working condition. Since I am using a Nikon camera now, i thought of converting the kodak camera to an infra-red camera. so i opened it, and after a few unsuccesful attempts, I was finally able to open the lens assembly and take out the infra-red filter. however, when I was putting everything back in place(assembling), there was a big spark - one like short circuit - probably caused by the huge capacitor that is used for the flash circuit.
