Black image Just bought a used Canon PowerShot A60 digital camera. Menus work fine but LCD is black. When shutter button is pushed half way down the lower light blinks. I even tried to aim it at a lamp to see if it was too dark. Acts like it wants to take pictures. Lights blink, camera focuses, flash deploys, then nothing.

Good evening, I have a DSC F717 serial no 1749705. I lent this camera to my son some years ago and had it returned recently. As I tried to relearn my way around the camera I discovered that the image as seen both through the eye piece and on the display appeared to be stripey a bit like a night shot of car tail lights. The image is unclear. My son has not been using the camera for some years, possibly , and it was stored in his roof space. Any thoughts Please. Drew Wigham

My Canon PowerShot S400 shows a blurred image on my screen, one that looks like streaks of light. As I pan the camera the streaks move, too. Sometimes, but not consistently, when I take a photo there are streaks on the resultant image, often greenish blue. Here's something else: When I turn the camera on, the lens opens with a series of small clicks, such as might happen if the lenses have been damaged in some way.

It is definitely a CCD issue. First of all how long have you owned the camera? I am guessing it is out of warranty so in most cases it is the best option to purchase a replacement as you will be able to get one twice as good for about as much as the ... Digital Cameras

Hi, I bought the Fujifilm Finepix S2500HD a week back. I have noticed a strange problem with the LCD screen or is it the sensor? In low light situations when you turn the camera on, the screen is not clear and there are disturbances in the form of blue dots across the LCD which appear like a screen refreshing phenomena. The same can be observed in the EVF also. Is there a problem with the sensor of the camera. The best way to notice this problem is by keeping your hand fully in front of the l

I have a Samsung SL202 which I purchased because it was pretty much auto setting if I wanted. I liked the dial on the back to tell me what I was shooting. I'm not camera techie. I have been trying to get clear pictures of items to list on ebay. I have had a trombone and a suit jacket. I have tried most settings, different places in the house for light, etc., but they are never clear, the colors are not right, and the picture is too bright making the object look faded. Focusing Problems I just bought the Canon 20d. I shot a wedding with it two weeks ago, and really liked how it performed in low light. However, I noticed a lot of my photos from the low lit reception came back out of focus. (The outdoor ceremony shots were fine). I noticed 3 issues with the images: 1-The main subject, which often was dead center and took up 1/2 to 2/3 of the frame, was often NOT in focus. Rather, the camera selected some point way off to one side or off in the distance som

My panasonic has amazing imaging stabilising properties, and crystal clear images. But the flash is too bright, and washes everything out far too much, making faces and scenery white all the time. The colours arent natural more than often. They're just wishy washy. So I bought a sony, and the colours are much more natural, and flash much more reasonable, but the image quality is really not great at all, especially in low light conditions, and the image stabilising is almost useless!!!! Double Images. Under natural light, low light, basically any light... the images will show the correct photo and then a moment later another photo will superimpose itself on the first image. Only one photo. One .jpg when transferring to the computer and I can't get the photo to separate. Some are really great photos... if not for that extra photo on top of it. My problem sounds like the same as the other poster.

I have a Nikon D300. I can't seem to figure out what's wrong, I assume it's a setting issue. In low light situations even with the flash I can't seem to stop action or even properly light things. I have had any kind of issue like this on a camera before. In situations where I should be able to handhold I am using a monopod. I know there is enough light to not have to handhold, I mean I am using the flash. Frankly even with available light this should not be an issue.

Canon Vixia HV30 - I have been reading a lot about it's much touted optical super zoom image stabilization but it either does not work the way it is supposed to or i am doing something wrong or it is another of those overhyped features that does not measure up to the real world scenarios. The battery of my samsung s860 was recently dead so i though that was why the lens wouldnt go out all the way. I have tried two new sets of batteries and the camera is reacting the same way. LCD monitor does not light up, and consequently, does not display any image (as some other digital cameras do) during the aiming and focusing processes - sort of prescanning the image - before the shutter is half-way then fully pressed. In other words, is the LCD monitor designed soley to display image review (playback) and show menues!
