Works only on Stitch Mode

\015 My camera only works on stitch mode. I try to go to other modes, like auto and the only thing I see is a black screen. I turn the dial to other modes and nothing shows up. I only can view the screen when it is on the stitch mode. What can I do to solve the problem.\015

This camera was working fine, was turned off, and then a day later wouldn't work. The LCD screen on back works only if the Mode Switch is in the review mode (or DOWN), and does not light up under the picture taking mode (or UP) position. Also, while the switch is in the UP position, the ON/OFF power indicator button no longer stays lit. It does, however, stay lit in the Mode Switch in the DOWN position. First problem in three years. Nice little camera.

Powershot s410 My s410 is "old" :( but I love it and has been working amazingly over 10,000 photos in the 4 years I've had it. All of a sudden this week-end when I am in auto or manual mode the screen is black - I can't see what I am shooting. What is odd is that if I am in the panoramic mode or video mode the screen works. Even odder is that if I actually take a picture blindly (since the screen is black) it shows up on the display! Help... :) Thanks

Hi, I've just recieved my nikon d90 back from a repair and service, and although everything appears to be working fine, whenever I want to change shooting modes,( auto, P, M, flash off etc), they only work once I have selected them, and then turned the camera off and back on. In other words I cannot be shooting in the Auto mode and then switch to "flash off auto"....all that happens is that the auto focus works but the shutter will not operate. The mode dial doesn't seem to work. The camera is stuck on the high speed sequential setting. When we select iauto, it takes one picture and then freezes. When we select the camera option on the mode dial, it takes 13-15 pictures in succession and then freezes. The pictures are taken without the button being pressed. We need to power off to change modes. The camera did work for a little while.
