Having problems with your Canon PowerShot A85 Digital Camera ?
Red Screen Without any previous warning or symptoms, the battaries are new the camera seems to be ok, i mean the view finder, the screen is showing the object normal but when i take a shot the photo turn to be red color and looks like sepia mode but reddish.
i tried to download the photos everything went normal but the dowloaded photos were as shown on the screen i.e. reddish sepia.
I have the same problem. I am staying in New Delhi , India. Not sure if Canon India service center will accept this issue.

My Canon PowerShot A85 no longer shows scene on the LCD screen before shoot nor immediately afterward and records a blank on the memory card. Photos taken before this problem started can be viewed on the screen in review mode. Otherwise camera feels normal, i.e. turns on and off, zooms, sounds like it recorded a photo.

My Canon PowerShot A85 switches on the lens rolls out as per normal. The screen is normal, showing whatever you are poiniting the camera at. However the the Red LED below the flash is permanently on, the zoom lever is not active. Pressing the photo button gives no response. The LED above the screen is permanent orange.This is any mode. Olympus FE-46 everything is normal but I do not have any view in the monitor? Shutter is open and I can view photos, and it will take photos, all info is in the monitor shutter speed and the like. The screen shows a small black walnut shape on a white background. Shuttter opens as normal but does not appear to take photos. Camera is fully charged. When I turn my 550 PowerShot on, I get a blank screen (black for the most part with white camera symbology around the screen, such as the flash symbol, etc). I have an SP500-UZ. In the mode where you can take five shots in a row, it takes three and the shutter drags on the fourth and then it takes an unusually long time to be able to take another photo. Normally, the screen goes black after the last photo, but it doesn't now.

Lcd/viewfinder THe LCD screen looks as if there is a shutter, for lack of a better description, nearly closed. Only a sliver of view is available. It appears that way with both the picture taking and playback mode. The eyepiece looks different than normal, but at least can be used. Photos come out just fine. But when a CF card (tried different ones)is in the camera and you press the button to take a photo, the screen will either shut off clean or give a flash of scrambled image then shut off and freeze. I have a nikon d200. The last time I used it (only a few days ago) it was fine, everything normal. Then yesterday I pull out out of the case and everything seems to be going wrong. It is metering INSANELY low, like a shutter speed of 100 in full daylight produces a REALLY dark image.
