Having problems with your Canon PowerShot G5 Digital Camera ?

Dark Pictures I have been trying to photograph nite shots of the exterior of my house with the landscape lighting on. I am trying to use slower shutter speeds with a tripod and timer but they still keep coming out dark. Any assistance on settings (shutter speed, aperature or other) would be greatly appreciated.

This will allow the tripod and camera to stop moving once u pressed the shutter button. OR Use the Remote control\015\0123) F8 is a good aperture. I think the ideal Shutter speed would be around 6 seconds. Depends on the Artificial Lighting u have on your house.\015\012\015\012\015\012I hope this helps.
I suggest to try setting your camera to manual exposure mode then choose an aperture around f.8 then set your shutter speed at something like 2 seconds. Shoot and see if it's too dark. Still too dark, then add more seconds to the shutter speed.\015\012\015\012Hope this helps.\015\012PS don't forget your white balance settings.

Lcd problems When I turn the camera on, the screen is very dark. I have tried all the settings on the camera to make it brighter but that hasn't worked. I am still able to take pictures and when I transfer them to the computer, they come out normal. I noticed earlier that the screen went brighter for a second and then turned dark again. I think there may be a problem with connection.

I own a D90 and of late have had problem getting the shutter to actually fire and take a photo at times. It will work sometimes and not at others. I have tried changing the memory card - putting it on manual etc but still won't work. The battery is fully charged. It occasionally comes up with an r05 and r21 code in the R lower box and a flashing F at the top R when this seems to happen. I haven't played with the settings all that much - just since this has begun happening. Can you make any sugge

Focusing problems Hello, I have been trying to take close-up pictures (between 4-12 inches away from subject) but when I press the shutter button halfway, on the screen I see the image come into focus, come out of focus, come into focus,.. on and on for several moments until it settles on the out of focus image. I've tried setting the camera to the macro and super macro settings, and that doesn't help at all. I know it can focus, because I see it on the screen but for some reason it chooses the

The button that contros the zoom and shutter snapped off my camera. It appears that the tips of the three tabs sheared off. The small spring that brings the zoom button back to center is still attached to the camera. If you set the button back in place, the zoom and shutter will still work, but the button comes right back off as you take your finger away. Can a new button be ordered and snapped on? If so, where would one order this part?
