Canon S2 IS Uneven Focus

\015 I have a Canon S2 IS that is approx. 2 yrs old. In every photograph, the lower right quarter of the image is blurry and out of focus.I printed a simple grid on paper, placed the camera on a tripod and then photographed the grid at various zoom levels. All photos showed the same problem, regardless of zoom level.I should note, I tried all photos with auto-focus on. An example of the images taken can be seen here:http://www.morrowreunion.com/images/canon/focus_grid1.jpg (1.8 Megs)http://www.morrowreunion.com/images/canon/focus_grid2.jpg (1.9 Megs)\015\012http://www.morrowreunion.com/images/canon/focus_grid3.jpg (2.3 Megs)Is there anything I can do to try to correct this problem, or will it be necessary to send the camera back to Canon & face an expensive repair charge?\015\012\015

I still don't have a digital SLR camera, but on the old Cannon film SLRs, the focusing motor is within the lense itself. The extender should have contacts to transmit the signals from the body to the lense. Visually inspect the extender, otherwise yo ... Digital Cameras

Focus Problem Dear folks, I just bought a (new) Canon A75, and it doesn't seem to focus. At all. Even on manual focus, not only can I not get it to focus properly, the focus doesn't change at all. When on AF, it doesn't beep like the manual says it should, and the yellow light blinks, as it's supposed to when there's a focus issue. The focus assist light is working. Can anybody think of anything I should try? The manual is of no help. This is my first digital camera, so I'm not ruling out the po

I'm not sure on the problem, but one thing to check on the front of the A75 it also uses an IR beam to set focus. It's a little circular dot under the flash on the right side. It will light up red when in use to project the IR beam. Make sure you ... Canon PowerShot A75 Digital Camera

I have owned a Canon G9 for a couple years. I dropped it back in May. Lens wouldn't retract. Did research - must get it fixed professionally. Instead of sending to CANON - I sent to Teleplan Digital Camera Repair (worthless hucksters) to save some money. STUPID! Horrible experience - just now received my camera back after them having it back and forth since June. After the fixed the initial problem I noticed having some focusing problems. I have a Canon 20D camera that I use with two lenses. The lens that I have most of my problems with is the 28-70 f2.8 red ring lens. When focusing It always seems to focus on what is behind the subject. No matter how much I concentrate on the focusing sensor to focus on the subject -AND it looks like it focuses on the subject-UNITL I load my photos and look at them in disgust that it focused behind it!! What is going on?? I use the same lens on my friend's cannon 5D and NEVER have this problem.

Won't Focus I have had my Canon Powershot SD1000 for about 9 months now. I have had problems with the lens error and it getting stuck but have always been able to get it to work eventually. I had another bout with the lens getting stuck, was able to get it unstuck but now it won't focus at all. Normally I press the shutter down half way to get it to focus on my subject, but now it simply won't focus. I'm wondering if maybe my settings are off, or if it's an internal problem. Any suggestions

My Canon digital rebel will not autofocus correctly. My camera has 7 points autofocus, but it will only autofocus on the far right point. All other points are not used. I have had the camera for 14 months and the problem just began. If I want to focus on anything in the left to center of the field of vision, I cannot do it. However, the lens focuses manually very well. Why won't my camera focus on other points than the far right one?

My camera (a Canon PowerShot SX10IS, if it matters) has this tendency to move in and out of focus when I'm using the video recording feature. However, even though the person in the video isn't moving except for subtle hand gestures, the camera seems to start to try to focus on something else deeper in the background or closer in the foreg
