Having problems with your Canon PowerShot S30 Digital Camera ?

Erase feature difficulty erasing single image or all images with the multicontroller. After the erase function is set ,depressing the multicontroller causes the function setting to flip back and forth between erase and cancel.

Answers :

I had to get my multicontroller repaired. It's a common problem with S30's. It doesn't seem possible to disassemble the multicontroller (I've tried). There's not much you can do about this other than replacing the multicontroller.

My 1230IR Stealth Cam will not take a picture. It will take me through all the proper set up procedures, but when walking in front of the camera it will NOT take the photograph. This was very frustrating because it gave every indication of working, But 3 days in the woods, several pounds of corn being eaten by deer, they left plenty of tracks, and my walking back in forth in front of it, when checking up on it, showed me it was not functioning. What are my options?

Canon SD900 selection options not responsive. The selector wheel, Function Set button and menu selector only work from time to time. Even if pressing the ring brings up info to the LCD, nothing can be changed because the Function Button and the Menu button are not active. This is a random problem. Sometime, I can bring all functions back to life by removing and re-inserting the battery and restarting.

When I put the camera into auto macro mode, set the resolution to super fine and try taking a picture, the camera shuts off and will not come back on. The lens is still extended from the camera. The same thing happend last night, without the super fine resolution. I took out the batteries and put them back in and the camera functioned normally. But today it will not come back on. A

Good Morning I went hiking in broad daylight this past weekend and the autofocus would not work. I have a Canon 40D with a TAmron 18-270. I used av, tv, p, m and auto and I could not autofocus the camera. All I could do is to switch to manual focus to get it to work. When the lens was set to AF all you could is hear is it racking back and forth tying to focus. VERY FRUSTRATING.. Any ideas of what it may be or a setting I might have set accidentally. Any help is appreciated. Bob

Hi!! I inherited a Konica Dynax Maxxum 5D it takes great pictures, but I can't figure out how to get the LCD monitor to show the picture I am taking...it is on a blue screen with functions and settings, but I can't find where in those settings to change it back to seeing the view by looking at the screen, I always have to look through the view finder to shoot a pic. Hope you can help, Thanks a lot, Cath

To see the picture you want to take on the screen, your camera needs to have a feature called "live view". I'm not sure if your camera has that feature. It's a relatively new feature on more expensive cameras. Check your owner's manual. ... Konica Minolta Dynax 5D / Maxxum 5D Digital Camera

Hi all, I wonder if you can supply some advice regarding a Sigma17-35mm lens I purchased earlier in the year. Basically if I use the automatic or 'P' setting on my Canon EOS 30D camera the image is over exposed by 1 to 2 stops. If I use the same functions with my Canon 18 -55 kit lens the exposure is correct so I would presume the camera is not causing the problem. The only way I can get a correct exposure with the Sigma lens is to compensate manually for each shot. Please note the exposure p

Error I was erasing an image on my cf card in camera last week and being it was a tiff I set the camera down as the hourglass spun in the processing mode.
