Shooting mode dial?
\015 Are there instructions on how to replace the shooting mode dial?\015
The mode dial is part of a larger assembly. Here's instructions on replacement of a similar S30. Don't recommend that you try this unless you have some familiarity with electronics, and a lot of patience. Above all keep track of all your screws as they're all different sizes:

My camera is brand new, got it just last week. I tried using the S mode on the mode dial and tried shooting with the fastest shutter speed, but all pictures turned out to be blank/black. The same happened for the P, A and M mode. May I know if it's a problem with my settings or the camera?
Photographing is matching the shutter speed and aperture to the ambient lighting conditions to create the effect you want. 'Auto'- and 'P'-mode should match those automatically. 'S' will choose the aperture and 'A' the shutter speed according to the ... Nikon D5000 Digital Camera
I have a Panasonic DMC-LX2 digital camera, I'm based in the UK. Has worked fine for a couple of years, but 2 weeks ago, when powered up, none of the buttons work. Continuous shooting I'm new to this so bare with me. I just got my Nikon D60 and I want to shoot pictures in continuous mode. I set it on manual, go into the menu and change it to continuous. I rotate the dial so it changes the shutter speed but when I take pictures it's just a black screen. As a matter of fact any time I try to take a picture in M it's just black. I'm hoping that there is just a setting I need to change and there's not something wrong with my camera. Thanks.
Hey man. Im not sure how new you are but basically i think your problem is you need to decrease the shutter speed to around 1/200-1/250 of a second and increase the apeture to around f10/12 and see if that works. If your operating at a high shutter s ... Nikon D60 Digital Camera with 18-55mm lens

I have turned on my Sony Cybershot for the first time to learn how to use it. The fully charged battery is installed. As I was turning the mode dial there was a bizarre shooting sound, like a cap gun going off twice, and now there is an E:91.01 message. What in the world happened and how do I fix it?

My flash seems to be stuck in the "suppressed" mode. Also the Manual on page 64 refers to a "turn" of the "command dial" to the "flash mode setting". Since that item is not described anywhere else and the only turnable dial is the "mode" dial, I assume that it means to press the flash mode arrow. When I do that nothing happens. The flash modes do not display as described in the manual. I can't figure out how to get the flash to function properly again. I have made all my attempts with fre

The mode dial doesn't seem to work. The camera is stuck on the high speed sequential setting. When we select iauto, it takes one picture and then freezes. When we select the camera option on the mode dial, it takes 13-15 pictures in succession and then freezes. The pictures are taken without the button being pressed. We need to power off to change modes. The camera did work for a little while.

Just purchased a canon A590. on page 84 of user guide, continuous shooting is described. I'm somewhat familiar with SD cards, but Canon implies that I have to use their MSH type SD card to use the continuous shooting feature. When I look at the drive modes in my camera, I only see 4 possible modes....single pic, 10 sec delay, 2 second delay, and delay continuous. There is an icon for continuous shooting in the book, but it does not appear on my camera. Why?
I don't own an A590 but I've been handling cameras since the Kodak Instamatic days, so I'll try to help you. I checked out the Canon website for the A590. and they don't specifically state the MSH type SD card. The camera can do 1.4 fps or frames p ... Canon Digital Cameras
