Canon s50, dial worn, very slow to extend lens or shoot picture
\015 The different tiny images on the selector dial of my S50 wore off soon after I got it. I put a small blob of bright red nail polish on it to mark the spot for the standard shooting and it stayed for years, but I would like to replace the dial. Canon said the dial could be purchased for about $10 plus shipping, but how does the old one come off and the new one go on? \015\012\015\012Even with a freshly charged battery, when I slide open the lens door of my it takes about 5 seconds before the lens start to come out. Sometimes it doen't even move till I shot and reopen the door again. \015\012\015\012It also delays about 5 to 10 seconds to take a picture after I have press the button... and I have to hold the button down the whole time or it doesn't take at all. It used to take no more than 2 seconds. I thought it may be taking time to focus, but 5 to 10 seconds is way too long. Any ideas on how to fix it? It still takes very clear pictures.\015

Fuji a345 I have a 2 year old Fuji a345 which periodically has a problem with the lens cover not opening and, of course, the lens not extending into position when the camera is powered on. Generally turning the camera off and on a few times will eventually result in the lens cover opening and allowing the lens to extend into proper position for shooting pictures. Any ideas.
