Having problems with your Canon PowerShot S5 IS Digital Camera ?

Cannon s5is powershot as soon as i turn camera on a memory card error comes up and theres no card in it, does same thing when card inserted. it's got to be something in the camera slot, is there a lock in there or something to clear this message

\015\0121. Once you have downloaded the file, place the firmware on the SD card\015\0122. Insert the SD card into the camera with the camera off\015\0123. Turn the Camera on and follow the instruction on the screen to reload the firmware.
On the SD card there is a little switch you can move. It has 2 positions, LOCKED, and UNLOCKED. To make the card available, put the switch in the UNLOCKED position.\015\012

Did you transfer the pictures back and forth from the camera to computer before you noticed this?
