Having problems with your Canon PowerShot S60 Digital Camera ?

One Powershot s60 flash does not work - all other functions ok -- lens assembly does make a bit of noise (sounds like gears) when extending compared to new or factory refurb unit Second Powershot s60 lcd screen will illuminate white but no image - otherwise all functions ok - will take pics and can extract pics from sd card - lens assembly makes same noise as above --

Answers :

\015\012On the first powershot you need to make sure the Auto Flash is not turned off (button top left on rear of camera) If it has been turned off a lightening strike symbol contained in a circle will show on screen and flash will not operate. You can cycle through AutoFlash - Flash On - Flash off by continually pressing this button.
\015\012If the flash does not respond to this command the flash unit is failing to charge and will have to be returned for service repair.
\015\012On the second powershot the LCD is white because it is not receiving a signal. This will be caused either by a disconnected ribbon inside the camera or failed circuitry. If you are brave you could open it and check for a poor connection to the screen but you may end up doing more harm than good!
\015\012Hope this helps to explain the issues you are having. Please remember to rate my answer. Many Thanks.

I dropped my Canon Powershot SD750 digital camera and the extended lens was stuck open. I had no other options so I opened the camera up to fix it. I corrected it, but after I put the camera back together it takes poor pics. In normal light conditions it over exposes and pic looks really bright and also has many lines going through the picture? I love the camera and don't want to buy another one. I tried a different memory card and reset function under the menu.
