Having problems with your Canon PowerShot SD1000 Digital Camera ?

Hi, my pictures are out of focus what could I do to fix this?

Answers :

I'm going to assume that you're new to cameras. Please make sure the camera is on landcape mode and not Micro mode. If this doesn't work, in the menu look for digital zoom on/off. Turn it off and on. If it still doesn't work you might have some other features that I'm not aware of. Worst case scenario would be your lens mechanism itself.

I just turned on the camera to take a picture and noticed that the camera was not focusing. I tried changing the setting, turned of the camera and restarted it, removed the battery and put it back in. Nothing I could think of would make the camera focus. The screen only shows blurry and out of focus. The pictures taken by the camera are blurry and out of focus. Any suggestions on how to fix it? Thank You

Focus Trouble All of the sudden, my camera won't focus. The menu works, & I can view old pictures clearly, but I can't take a picture w/o it being blurry. The lens does extend in & out, & the camera sometimes powers off. (Not always.) My husband swears up & down that he didn't drop, or do, anything to the camera. I didn't either. I have owned a Canon G9 for a couple years. I dropped it back in May. Lens wouldn't retract. Did research - must get it fixed professionally. I was taking pictures into bright sunlight switching between manual and automatic settings, and manual and automatic focus. First, the picutre would take, but the shutter would not open (viewfinder would remain closed) switching from manual to automatic focus fixed this issue. Button-be-dead Ok, so this might sound kind of stupid but my camera was in my purse and I didn't drop it or anything, but when I went to take it out to take pictures, the button you push to take the picture was already half down so it won't stop auto-focusing. I can't zoom in or out, look through my pictures, turn the flash off, delete pictures, or change picture styles. I know it's because of the button already being down halfway but I really need to know how to fix it and get the button back

Blurred images My camera takes pictures fine with the flash on. However without the flash it makes a funny almost grinding noise when it takes the picture and then the picture is slightly blurred. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

This is mainly due to the slow shutter speed selected by your CAM. in low light situations the cam chooses a slow shutter speed to expose the image adequately. Any shakes that may have caused during the shutter operation will cause the funny images. ... Olympus Stylus 760 Digital Camera

Even when I slightly hold the shutter button it makes a strange noise trying to focus but cannot. Any ideas of what I could do?
