SD400 blurry pictures all of a sudden?

\015 I loved my camera up until today. For some reason, the pictures are coming out blurry. I didn't change any of the settings, but when I download it to my computer, it looks pixelated and old. Does anyone else have the same problem?\015

You indicate you've checked your settings. With the camera turned on and set to automatic mode (the first dial setting - opposite end of the dial from movie mode), make sure your camera is set to use flash. Now, find the self-timer button (it's on the same cursor-pad as the\015\012flash, closeup, and redeye removal settings - at the 6-o'clock\015\012position).

Put the camera on a table or other flat surface, facing at a stationary object to photograph. It doesn't matter what the object is, as long as it's within flash range.

Now, with the camera sitting on a firm, level surface, click the shutter button. The camera will pause until the timer runs out (10-seconds) then snap a shot. Because the camera was sitting perfectly still at the time the shot was taken, you should have a completely clear picture. If you do, then the problem is related to what you're photographing, how much light is available, and how fast your memory card is capturing the image.

If the picture is still not sharp, you may have a problem with faulty memory (easy to try a different Compact-Flash card to check that out), or possibly the camera's built-in optics software.

One last thing to try, although I'm not sure it will work since I can't try it myself...

If you still have your A/V cable that came with the camera, hook your camera up to your TV set and see if the viewfinder picture is also transmitted to your TV when in picture taking (not picture-viewing) mode. If you see an image, and the image is not clear, you either have dirty optics (I know you said they were clean), or faulty sensors.

Hope some of that helps!
Check your settings, you may have inadvertantly changed to a different shooting mode. My Canon has a round knob on the top, and sometimes it will get moved in my pocket!
\015\012There are also settings in the camera that can change the quality of the pix you take. Look in the manual if not familiar with this.
\015\012Otherwise, it seems like you may have deeper issues.

Blurry LCD Well, I have recently got a SD400 camera from dell.com. The first thing I noticed was the inaccurate LCD. The picture in the LCD seemed blurry(bad resolutoin, weird coloring) and inaccurate. But, after actually taking the pictures, the picture seemed perfect. (In the review mode and the display right after you take a picture.) Is this a problem? This is my first digital camera, thus I had no previous experience with camera LCD. Or is this normal, without flash, everything is suppose

All of a sudden every picture I take with the 55-200 zoom lens is blurry and slightly out of focus. Pictures with the 18-55 lens are still sharp. I have been using that 55-200 lens for years for sports shots, and have never had any problem. I get the same blurriness shooting in both the auto sports setting and in shutter priority. It is a brand new issue. Could it be the AF servos starting to go in the lens, or am I doing something stupid?

Simplest answer is that you may have accidentally flipped the focus switch (A/M) on the lens to M. This turns off autofocus for that lens (which you might need to do if autofocus just can't resolve the image). Try turning it back to A.Ano ... Nikon D40x Digital Camera
