Intermittent power up problem

\015 When I powerup camera, it either works normally OR the lens comes out - then powers down immediately leaving the lens out OR I get a change battery message. Cleaning the battery contact points with alcohol doesn't seem to help.\015

Sounds like a weak or low charged battery. If you're using rechargeable batteries, be sure to charge AT LEAST 14 hours before using them. If alkaline, be sure they're fresh.

The auto shake bars (all five of them) to the right of the view finder are blinking 4. Show 0 (zero) as the number of frames remaining in the view finder. 5. The problem is intermitte

Appreciation CanadaBruce I was browsing the website since I have a Nikon D80. Considering the fact that Nikon sells this as an amateur camera (meaning not a cheap solution), I suspect their Q&A and test wings are probably getting a lot of flak internally for the problems its users experience intermittently. Besides the F-err with 18-135 lens, I have not experienced other problems yet. I hope and pray to whatever powers there be it stays that way. One way I have tried to get around this problem i

I have a Kodak Easyshare P880 camera where the power intermittently cuts out and then comes back on after a second. When the power cuts out, it is accompanied by an audible click, the screen goes black, and the power light blinks off, then comes back. This happens every 30 seconds or so. Is there a fix for this? What is the cause of this problem?

Sometimes my D700 will not power up and the LCD is totally blank. After sitting stationary for a couple days, it will operate normally. The problem is intermittent. This has happened twice this past and I cannot trust it to be there when needed. Changed the battery, lens, and CF card but nothing works when it is in this dormant state. Any ideas? loose connection? humidity problems?

My lightly used nikon coolpix s570 has developed a power issue. Meaning that with a fully charged battery, the camera won't turn on. sometimes removing and reinserting the battery will get it to turn on. and sometimes the camera will power up normally, the problem is intermittent. any ideas? I keep the camera clean and store it in a dry place.

EOS Rebel XT. About two years old. Stops working. NO power. Tried new batteries, cleaned contacts. Canon Lenses only. Occasional Code 99 but not necessarily at the same time. Tried all the normal fixes for the code. Problem is Very intermittent, but when it fails it's DEAD.Sent it to a repair shop. He had it for six weeks and it never failed. After i got it back,I probably shot close to 100 pics before it failed again. Don't know where to turn. Gary [email protected] 260-249-0193

The LCD Monitor of my Canon PowerShot A95 shows purple, white, and black horizontal lines instead of a clear image of what is in the Viewfinder. Pictures taken while showing up this way on the LCD Monitor turn out with the same fuzzy stripes. Light lines show up in the well-lit areas of the scene and dark lines show up where the scene is dark. The problem was intermittent for months but now cannot be corrected by powering off. Hi. I have a Canon G9 camera. I bought in October 8, 2007 but did not register the camera's warranty until a few days ago. Here's the problem. I dropped the camera a weeks ago... In fact will only power on if I insert and remove the battery several times. Once I get it going, however, it powers off with the lens extended. Please tell me what my options are, s

Hello I have a canon IXUS 960 IS. Yesterday when I was using the camera it only closed half way when powering the camera off. Now the camera doesn't open fully and when pusing the "play" button the power goes on and off straight away. At first I thought this was a problem with the battery so I have fully charged the battery and the problem is still the same. What do I need to do to correct the problem? Thanks

Hello, I have a Kodak easy share z1275 and has worked well for me for almost 3 years. Used it last week with no problems, has never given me any problems. Suddenly on Saturday, I turn it on to take a picture, lens begins to retract and the camera shuts off, it appears that there is a power supply probelm. I changed batteries, even though the ones I had in it were recently installed, but went ahead and put in new ones, and it will not power on. The blue power indicator light begins to come on

I hit the power button and it turns green for a second but then goes out. The camera and LCD screen do nothing. So I have some sort of power problem. When I put the battery in the charger the charger light comes on for about a 10seconds but then goes out (suggesting that the battery is fully charged). My Kodak Easyshare Z1275 has short battery life. sometimes even newly charged 2600 MaH batteries cause problems. Powers up, lens extends, opens screen to set time and date then powers down. Zoom Error Just bought an Olympus SP550 Ultra Zoom for my daughter. In less than 24 hours the cam developed a problem. When she turns it on, the zoom lens goes part way out, a message "zoom error" shows on the screen, and it powers itself off. We thought it might just be the batteries, but new ones didn't help. Hi , My Fuji S9600 has just refused to power-up using batteries, although it still powers-up and operates correctly when i attach the mains PSU adapter.
