I have 17 grand children and one great grandchild so about a year ago I bought a VuPoint DV-M5056-VP and have yet a picture. First was a day when it went blank. Took it to three Wal-Mart stores including the one I bought it from. No one could tell me what went wrong, Suggested I throw it away and get another type of camera. One day it worked. Now my problem is those metal pieces that hold the batteries are falling out. I lost one so the camera is again not useful. I need an answer sent to

Battery problem Kodak z712 uses different types of batteries and the one supplied with camera are non-rechargeable lithium type that die down soon. Camera specifications say one can use rechargeable lithium-ion, Klic-8000. Now while replacement klic-8000 are cheaply and abudantly available, is this appropriate to use them in this model? Some say the can leave the camera damaged. I need a solution because I am not getting the original kodak klic8000 in my city.

I bought new batteries from local store (one from Walmart and one from Meijer) but both would not work in my Cybershot DSC-H55. On powering up, I get the message "For use with compatible battery only" then it shuts down. The battery that came with my camera still works fine. I thought I had bought bad batteries but I returned for exchange, and 2 replacement batteries from 2 different stores still shows the same error message. Even with fresh batteries installed, I only get a few shots before the "battery empty" icon appears. Then, if I remove and then re-insert the same batteries, the initial result is a green battery icon which may only give me one shot before the "battery empty" icon appears again. If I use only the viewfinder, I may get a couple more shots. It looks like an electrical problem but what should I do?

I bought this camera off of an realestate agent, she said it wasnt very old and that it worked great, it didnt have a memory card in it she said i would haft to get one. I have gotten 3 differnt ones and they all say it cant be read. I talked to a walmart associate and she thought I needed a 1 gb memory card for that camera so I got one off line and it still does the same thing. I think I'm going to explode if I hear one more "worn out battery" explanation for what seems to be a pretty common complaint. This is my 3rd camera...all ending up with the same problem. I've had the Canon Power Shot A570 for less than a year. Someone suggested changing the settings...but even with brand spanking new batteries, I can't even get it to last long enough to get into the settings. There is clearly a problem here that has NOTHING to do with the blasted batteries.

Sounds like you have a faulty board in the camera or it could be something as simple as a software upgrade, I know some of the Fuji Hine Pix had the same problem and it was the software. Take it back to the Canon. ... Canon PowerShot A520 Digital Camera

Where can I get hold of a replacement battery door for a Fuju Finepix S5700? I've trolled the web and can't find anyone with one for sale. The lugs on the battery door have snapped and won't hold the batteries in anymore. I've got tape on it at the moment which keeps stretching after a while. I don't really wan't to use a bodge job like tape or rubber bands - I'd really like to get hold of a spare part that I can fit myself. Any ideas?

We are now on our 3rd 5.0 bushnell night sentry camera and the night pictures are black. With the second camera, we might get the first picture where the flash goes off, but the subsequent ones are black. We have replaced batteries and also have a solar panel. We did use this same model of camera last winter and were getting beautiful night pictures so we decided to get a second one. Day photos are beautiful. Help!

I have had two digital cameras (the first an Ixus - the present a Powershot). After a couple of years the Ixus wore out batteries in 5 minutes - and buying new ones did not help. Now the same thing is happenng to my Powershot - which uses ordinary AA-batteries. Both cameras still take very good pictures - but a retailer told me that this is what happens to digital cameras after a while. Do i really have to by a new one every 3.rd year - or have anyone any suggestions?

Won't work Have a C875 for a year now, and it has been working just fine. The other day I decided to try a AC adapter on it. Well, the AC adapter I used is one of those variable voltage ones. I set the voltage for 3 volts, plugged it in, it doesn't work. O.K. I put the batteries back in, still don't work. And, to top it off, the batteries get hot. Took the camera apart and I don't see anything burned up. Lost. Any help on what the solution could be and how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

When i turn my camera on, it seems fine, all buttons functional. When i take a photo, it flashes, but no photo will pop up in my screen. Instead the screen stays black, and then the battery starts to get really warm. then i cant turn it on or off, the only way to get the batter to stop heating up, is to take it out of the camera. i can put the battery back in, turn it on again, but it will say no pictures had been taken, and the problem continues every time i try and use it.
