My Nikon CoolPix 5700 seems confused about OFF and ON, and now I can't take a photo becase it won't stay ON long enough for me to press the shutter release. The problem appears a bit like a low-battery issue, but I have been placing totally recharged batteries (as fas as I can tell) in it (two different ones) over and over, and still the camera turns on and off at will. Any ideas? Is there a way to totally reboot the camera, like one reboots hard drives? Thank you.

This is a recently purchased camera that was working beautifully until recently. It just stopped taking pictures; when the shutter release is pressed, nothing happens. The only clue I have to what is happening came when I pressed the Quick View button and got a No Card message. I changed the CF card to one I took from my Canon Rebel XT and that I knew was working fine - again the message No Card when the QV button was pressed. Does that help at all in defining the problem? My Pentax K100D has suddenly stopped working. It hasn?t been bumped or dropped or anything. A few days ago I was still taking pictures, and then a day or two later when I tried it, it wouldn?t work. D60: I just got back from Certified Repair group where they said the camera is "okay". The Problem: It's like the ISO has shifted, and the readings on P, S, A, even M all result in a long exposure/wide open aperture reading. Frequently the reading is such that the shutter will not release, due to no focus or wrong light amount. Frequently the focus "peep" does not go off, and so the shutter will not release. I have a Nikon D80 with an 18-135mmNikkor lens.  It's about two months old.   Yesterday I was outside, on a snowy day,and a couple of times, I pressed the shutter release button and it would not take a picture.  I turned it on and off a couple of times, and my son looked at it and "pressed a couple of buttons", and then it worked.  This happened about three times.  I  wondered if it was because the camera was cold.  However, it was a beautiful wintery day - about 30 degrees.     Tonight, my nie

Left hand buttons don't work. They act like a half-pressed shutter button. IE: they focus and usually pop the flash. The camera takes pics fine, the two button reset and the tiny pinhole reset on the side don't see to fix anything.
