File transfer issue in Canon IXUS 100is.

\015 I have Canon IXUS 100 is. The problem I am facing is with file transfer from the camera. The video files of large size or sometime even normal 200mb etc get stuck. I am using windows xp machines and transfer directly by connecting USB cable to camera. I have read few reviews and some other customer also face same problem. What to do?\015

Answers :

Using a card reader is not a solution. It's a workaround. It's useless to not be able to copy the files from your camera without a card reader. It's a problem that canon needs to adress.
Try using a separate card reader to download your videos to a folder you create on your desktop.

I have a Canon HG10 Video Camcorder, however I can't figure out how to transfer the actual video files to the computer to be edited by programs. Camera: Nikon Coolpix E4600 Have tried to transfer images from my Coolpix camera to my computer. Once connected to USB cord, the camera is recognized by the computer except the file transfering programs (Nikon Transfer and PictureProject) don't recognize any files to transfer. Is it a problem with the cord itself? I've put the memory card which has the pictures into my laptop and transfered them successfully that way, which is why it leads me to believe the cord is the issue.
