Hello. I have problems taking pictures with my Cobra DCA1030 indoors. The flash either seems to be entirely too bright or if I don't use the flash the picture is too dark. Pictures taken outdoors turn out fine but I wish I could use it indoors as well. I wasn't sure if there were any recommended settings that would make for better indoor pictures? Thank you, Jason S

I have a Nikon D5000 and my daughter is a competitive cheerleader and every competition the lighting is always dark and on the stage is really bright. My problem is i can't seem to get good pictures with my camera and i have tried all different kinds of modes. she turns out blurry all together are parts of her body will be blurry. What do i do to get a crisp picture of my daughter in action in these situations?

Photographing in low-light situations is always problematical. I'm going to assume you can't add more light, and go on to other things.\012\012\012The blurring is caused by subject motion. Because the light level is so low, the shutter ha ... Nikon Digital Cameras

I have a coolpix l100 digital camera. I took pictures of my nieces on yesterday at a park, that had a small pond in the middle. The sun was shining bright and at some angles the pictures turned out dark. Not sure what I may be doing wrong.

If the sun was reflecting off the water, it fooled your camera into thinking there was so much light, it had to decrease the exposure. You could have used "exposure compensation" to get a better picture. ... Nikon COOLPIX L100 Digital Camera

When the cameras turned on the picture on the LCD's very very dark and the picture has a red tinge when exposed to bright light. could the lens be faulty?

My Sony DSC-W30 has a problem. When turned on the screen picture rarely can be seen. It is either completely dark and a picture taken will also turn out dark and unseen. Sometimes the screen will turn on and off many times and then turn dark. Sometimes I can smack it on my hand and it will go black or come back on. The anti-shake button sometimes allows it to come back on. I do not have any screen messages and all the other features seem to work but in a dark unusable screen.

Sounds like a loose LCD connector. It does not sound like a image sensory problem to me. You will have to disassemble it , remove the connector cable then replug it back into the panel and that should do the trick. However I suggest that you take th ... Digital Cameras

Bright pictures I have had my Sony Cyber Shot (DSC-S650) for about 6 mo. I have tried all different settings for the flash but almost all of my pictures come out with the person very white and bright. Dark pictures I have a Canon EOS REbel T2 with the standard 28-90 lens. It had been working fine, but now my pictures are (almost all) coming out very dark and grainy. Further, I note that if I turn the camera 90 degrees to that a "portrait" picture -- 6" tall and 4" wide, I see a dark rectangle in the picture in the bottom right quadrant. I always set the camera to full program (the green rectangle). I have been using Fuji 400 speed file of late. Do you have any idea what I"m doing wrong?

Dark Pictures Hi. 2-3 years ago my Dad bought a Kodak EasyShare DX6490 and it's worked just fine in the past. Now, unless you have full sunlight and a very bright day, it takes dark pictures. I was out today in the snow and took several pictures with it. While they look okay on the viewing screen, when I get them onto the computer, they're very dark. Can you help me? Thanks ever so much! Nikon D40 pictures taken but too dark even in AUTO mode with flash on a bright day. also, some days ago I had the Shutter release error message while taking some photos. Dark Screen All I can see on the LCD display is just a very dark screen when turned on. It can display previously taken pictures just fine though. When I try to take a picture, it is just a black picture.

My canon powershot s3 IS is taking really dark pictures. The only decent pictures I can take with it are outside in sunlight. Pics indoors come out dark and grainy. I flip up the flash, but most of the time the flash doesn't go off, like there is enough light. And then when it does go off, the picture is way too bright. Help please!!

This is not an answer. The S3 normally does not produce dark pictures, and I have seen this issue before. It has to do with a setting somewhere on that camera that needs to be adjusted. I wish I knew what that setting was/is as my wife's camer ... Canon PowerShot S3 IS Digital Camera

Canon SD600 I used my camera to take pictures of fireworks and I noticed that afterwards, all the photos I was taking outside in daylight were turning white. If I take pictures in the dark, they turn out perfect, and low light pictures are fairly normal except anywhere where there is a light source (lamp, window, etc) the color is streaky and orange. This particular camera has no way to adjust the aperture settings and I am considering taking it to a shop to have it looked at. Is there anything

My Nikon D60 monitor is dark...no image preview, however, playback for viewing pictures taken works fine. I use the viewfinder for taking pictures, but wonder if I've done something to turn off the monitor when the camera is turned on.

No, you have done nothing wrong. The D60 does not have the preview function on the monitor like the compact digital cameras. Nikon gave that function a name. It is called 'Live View'. The newr models like the D90 do have that feature. You can rea ... Nikon D60 Digital Camera

Dark pictures I have an Exilim EX-Z40 which i download to an apple powerbook via the USB link. The pictures when printed out look rather 'grey' rather than bright. This was very obvious when the camera SD card was recently printed out direct from a photolab rather than from the computer and compared to those printed out from the computer. The former were very 'bright' with fuller colours. SHould I be doing something different when connecting camera to computer?

Perhaps the lab is at fault? if iPhoto displays the pics with the correct dark/light profile then it is likely to be right. You can alter the profile in the edit window of iPhoto but it would seem the lab messed up. ... Casio Exilim EX-Z40 Digital Camera
