"incompatible jpeg image" message

\015 I removed the memory card from my camera and inserted it into the memory card slot on my computer. After copying the pictures to a file on my computer, I reinserted the card into my camera. Later when showing the pictures in my camera to a friend, I discovered that after the first few pictures, which were okay, I started to get screens without a picture but with the message "incompatible jpeg image". Then I had a few pictures that were okay and then some more screens with the same message. I did nothing but copy the pictures to a file on my computer. What is wrong?\015

Answers :

Unfortunately Windows in particular can mess with the contents of the card just by reading it - it creates a thumbnails file on the card without asking etc etc.
\015\012It shouldn't mess with the actual pictures unless you have rotated them or perhaps removed the card without safely removing the hardware first.
\015\012Try reformatting the card on the camera and you should be good to go from there.
