Having problems with your Canon PowerShot SX100 IS Digital Camera ?

Every time I switch it on it asks me to reset the date and time settings. The batteries are fine and I don't recall changing any setting to make it do this.

Answers :

On the left hand side of the camera there is a little batter hatch, above a screw hole. It has a number written on it. Pull this out and replace the battery in it. This is the time and date battery.

My Canon S2IS has served me perfectly for over five years. All of a sudden it is going through a set of new batteries in half an hour. A few pictures and short video clips after installing brand new Duracells I was getting the low battery warning and then a few more minutes of same it was dead, showing the change batteries message. Any ideas or is it time to retire this baby? Also, when I power up the camera, the lens makes a grinding noise while it is extending. What's up with that? Could it

Blue photos Can anyone tell me some reasons why some outdoor shots I took of snow/trees, etc. might look blueish? I took some pictures at sundown that came out fine, and ones I took about 10 minutes later look blue. I don't recall changing any settings. I also took similar shots at the same time with another digital camera and those looked fine. Is this something that's common in low light with a lot of white background? (Or is this a "user problem?")

Snow pictures tend to be blue due to the blue spectrum being scattered and reflected from the snow (similar to why the sky is blue). Plus just after sunset, you're going to get a cooler color temperature (blue cast).\015\012\015\012However, instead o ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ10 Digital Camera

Trouble Connecting I went to upload my pictures onto my MacBook and the camera won't connect. It had been working fine before and I hadn't changed anything. I tried taking out batteries and memory card, switching USB ports, and making sure the camera was set on USB and not the disk setting. Canon A510 Powershot camera will not stay powered on when I turn it on in picture-review mode. It comes on for a second --> Canon screen flashes on -- and then shuts off. In picture-taking mode, it seems to be fine. It stays on. But if I switch to review mode, it turns off. I've changed the batteries. It was fine last time I used it, last week. I left it plugged into the PC for a few days, if that makes any difference.

I own a D90 and of late have had problem getting the shutter to actually fire and take a photo at times. It will work sometimes and not at others. I have tried changing the memory card - putting it on manual etc but still won't work. The battery is fully charged.
