Flash I used to be able to switch the flash settings on the camera, when it's on 'auto adjustment', from on to off or automatic but now its just stuck on off and it doesn't allow me to change the settings. The only choice I have is to attempt using the 'twilight portrait' but I don't get the same effect.

Grainy Pictures I have had my olympus stylus 710 for about 6 months and have been noticing more and more grainy pictures once developed. They are usually when taken indoors. It doesn't look grainy on the LCD screen but when they are developed it is very grainy. This even happens when the flash is used. Any suggestions? Is there a setting I can change for higher quality pictures? I have a gig memory so I don't care if I am going to be using a lot of space. Got 7.1 megapixels and want to use

When I shoot on Apeture Priority my pictures appear washed out. I have tried changing the F-stop from 2.8, going lower, but nothing seems to work. I have also adjusted my ISO. My Panasonic Lumix DMS-ZS3 has auto face recognition on and I usually use it with the intelligent auto setting and all other defaults. Is this why it takes so long to take a pic (long enough for the subject's smile to fade!) and to recover afterwards so I can take another?

I own Canon S3 IS digital PowerShot camera. I have taken many pictures, but wanted to make some adjustments to some of the manual settings, as I am getting more comfortable with the camera, and would like to try pictures without using the AUTO mode. I made some adjustments to the picture size (compresion) and pixels.I do not remember making any more changing, but I read the User Guide a lot, and learned where adjustments can be made in the maual mode. All of a sudden every picture I take with the 55-200 zoom lens is blurry and slightly out of focus. Pictures with the 18-55 lens are still sharp. I have been using that 55-200 lens for years for sports shots, and have never had any problem. I get the same blurriness shooting in both the auto sports setting and in shutter priority. It is a brand new issue. Could it be the AF servos starting to go in the lens, or am I doing something stupid?

Simplest answer is that you may have accidentally flipped the focus switch (A/M) on the lens to M. This turns off autofocus for that lens (which you might need to do if autofocus just can't resolve the image). Try turning it back to A.Ano ... Nikon D40x Digital Camera

The focal length on my Nikon S52 Coolpix seems to be much shorter than it was originally. No matter the adjustment I make to the settings, at least part of the photo is extremely blurry. I have tried both with Auto-Focus on and off, but there is always a small square in the center of the view finder, and this is only region that shows a focused image. The camera used to produce sharp images throughout the picture. How can I adjust this?

Hi, I have just bought the Panasonic FZ45 and seem to have a problem with the flash. It will not pop up automatically when in "IA" mode. The display actually shows the symbol indicating that the flash is forced off. Have tried to change this using the REC set up menu but to no avail (incidentally the option to force the flash off appears in the user manual, but not on the REC menu). I have searched some of the forums on the web and it has been suggested that the FZ45 does not have an auto fla

On the Canon G3 I have issues with the main dial on the handgrip (used for aperture shutter speed and manual focus) while in Manual mode. it will change settings only some of the time! is this usually due to dust in the area and can it be cleaned or otherwise made operational?

Blurry pics The last time I used this camera, most of the pictures came out very blurry. I had to try to hold the camera completely still to keep them reasonably clear. These were just pictures of people, no sports, etc. It was on the usual auto setting. Even the ones that weren't too blurry were very grainy. It has worked fine in the past and I have never dropped it or gotten it more than rained-on wet. What could be the problem?

I have a nikon d200. The last time I used it (only a few days ago) it was fine, everything normal. Then yesterday I pull out out of the case and everything seems to be going wrong. It is metering INSANELY low, like a shutter speed of 100 in full daylight produces a REALLY dark image. It won't auto focus at all, and i am unable to change the fstop in manual or aperture priority modes. I tried to restore it to factory settings and the lcd screen flashed to indicate it had been restored but no luck

The auto setting stopped working - I usually always had it set on Auto, then "Auto" became video (same setting as video setting) for some reason.
