Have just inherited this digital camcorder. Want to record video onto card rather than tape so bought a new card today. Tried to use for the first time but on pressing the record button I get a red 10 second countdown on the screen and then it beeps and the recording stops. Am able to play back the 10 seconds of footage ok but can't get it to record for any longer. My olympus 1030sw camera will not record video to the 8 gig micro sd card (shows over 30 mins record time but only records 10 seconds to the cameras internal memory) my drivers are all up to date and the card i am using is a sandisk 8 gig which is on Olympus site stating it is fully compatibleif i take pictures this is working fine to the memory card so the card is not at fault.

When i try to format the SDHC 8GB memory card the recording screen display's (Waiting....) for about 1 to 2 second's, then goe's to the normal recording screen and when i push the record button it display's memory full, but the card is new and doesn't have anything saved on it. Hi there, I've just bought a DMC FX500 digital camera. In the movie mode when I've recorded say 30-40 secs of footage the remaining time always reverts back to 8m 27secs [using a 4GB card]. Hi - First time trying to upload a video from our Panasonic HDC-SD60 camcorder. Video recorded onto a SDHC card. We are in Australia, camcorder purchased on line from USA. Video duration I have a GE A835. I want to take video. It shows that I can only take thirty minutes with a 1 gig card. The only thing that I can think of is that there is some reason it is putting the files on the camera memory instead of the card. I have used all the settings I can find to put video on card. Deleting Videos I have no issues with deleting pictures from my cards or internal memory, but I cannot seem to delete videos from one of my cards (2G SD)while using the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8.
