Using my Canon XSi/450D, I'm interested in doing High Dynamic Range photography. But I can't discover how to make the automated shutter-speed range multi-shot (3 for the 450D) AEB work. I've gone into the menu and select and change the AEB range ( -2V) and pressed "set." Working from the "AV" in creative mode, I then set up my first shot with focus and ISO, and shoot. Now what? When I press the shoot button, an ordinary photo is captured, and if I continue to press the button additional cap

Over exposure The exposure settings on the camera have suddenly become fixed - I can't change them either through fixing shutter speed, OEV, or any other settings. Even tried a factory reset by selecting 'initialize' from the menu, but the problem persists. High or low exposure settings are visible on the viewfinder (i.e. changing the settings shows the picture getting darker or lighter on the screen), but once the picture is shot, it's fixed at an overexposed state.

Shutter speed I cannot remember the aperture, but when I try to take a picture of the moon with my FZ20, even @ 2.8 aperture, I certainly do not have 1/100s shutter speed, but more like 1/10 or even less (P mode). I wonder if there is a problem with my camera ? How can I check that it is correct ? Can someone with experience of moon shot give me some "standard" shutter/aperture so I can compare ?

Rule of thumb I read was f11 and then 1/ISO for shutter speed. This means that if you're using ISO 100, you use 1/100. ISO 80, then 1/80. White balance set to SUN (because moon is reflecting sunlight).\015\012\015\012Wait! My camera doesn't do f11!!! ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ20 Digital Camera

Canon 30D out of focus on EF 28-80 mm zoom 3.5-5.6 This is a cheap lens but even at f16 on 28 mm it is not very sharp. My 10-22 mm 3.5-4.5 not much better and 90-300mm 4.5-5.6 the same. All my settings seem ok and auto focus looks not to bad by eye but when I look at the back of camera and blow up it is out of focus even at high shutter and f16

My Sony Alpha 200 digital camera takes lovely pictures, but as I am a beginner and don't really know much about apertures and shutter speeds and how complex they are, I'm having great difficulty in getting it to focus properly in the manual setting. All other settings are fine, but the image in my viewfinder is very blurry when I look through before taking the shot. I have altered the diopter for my eyes as I wear glasses, so that isn't the problem. Is there something I'm either doing wrong, or

I have a rebel xt 350D , using 75-300mm 5.6f lens to do some girls basketball photography inside a gym. Had camera set on: ISO 1600, M mode, 5.6f, 200 shutter speed (that seem to set automatically), used built in flash, Exposure level was in the middle of the chart, auto focus, al servo, continuous shooting, used awb. Got pretty good freeze action shots, with little or no blurring but the photos were dark. Some I could make lighter with photoshop but lost some detail and the contrast was too muc

Pictures a very overexposed. Inside I can shoot without a flash at 400 ISO and they come out right. Outside they turn white. Also the shutter speed won't register. I can set it at 125 or even 500 and it comes out at about 1/30 or 1/60 of a second. Lower shutter speeds are actually lower. This happened a day after I cleaned my sensor. Hi, I have a two year old Canon PowerShot SX1. Recently began to think my shutter speeds have been on the low side, based on ISO, aperture, and general lighting conditions outside. Went out and purchased a Canon PowerShot SX130 just to compare. Took about 25 shots with each, same subjects each time, same settings, same position, about 15 seconds apart. Discovered that, on average, the SX130's shutter speeds were over 3 times higher than the SX1 for proper exposures. For instance, at ISO 100
