Having problems with your Canon Rebel XT / EOS 350D Digital Camera ?

Suddently my photos have too much purple and are grainy.

\015 I have cleared all settings in case I had something set wrong and it's still too dark, grainy and purple. This is happening both inside and outside.\015

Answers :

To start remove camera battery for one minute, this will reset settings to factory.

If pictures are all purple and shady , and this is not a setting problem , then it is usually a bad CCD sensor.

On many models (depending on year) CCD sensor repair will be entirely covered by Canon. Give them a call to check it out.

When trying to take a picture the color is off. It shows a purple tent on the screen, but there are old photos on there that are shown in normal color. It suddenly switched to giving everything the purple tent and has grainy lines going across the screen. I have tried to reset the settings to see if that would help but it hasn't. I haven't tried to upload any of the photos with the purple tent to see if they come up normal colors on my computer. Thank you!

There's no way for you to fix this. You have the classic signs of a failed ccd unit. There's nothing you did to cause it and nothing you could have done to prevent it. All you can do is to return the camera to Panasonic for repair. If the ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR1 / DMC-ZX1 Digital Camera

Grainy, image I bought my Riccoh Caplio GX 5.1 mp three years ago. At first it took the best pictures I could wish for, but for monyhs now I am getting very variable results. Some photos are OK, but many are grainy, "pixleated" - having tiny spots of the primary colours throughout the image. There doesn't seem to be any one situation when this happens. It can be inside, outside, flash or none. The pictures also seem to be a lot darker, so photos taken inside or at night are much poorer quality,

Hi, I purchased a Nikon Coolpix P80 digital camera, its a beaut camera to use but I appear to have issues with it. When taking a photo and viewing it at 100% I find the quality of the picture is not clear, its very grainy. Is the issue with myself as I do tend to have alittle camera shake. Grainy Pictures I received this camera as a Christmas gift, this past Christmas, and I have not been able to get a decent photo from it yet. The indoor photos are very grainy with a bubble sometimes in the photo. Outdoor photos are too light and also grainy, especially when the zoom is used. I have tried adjusting the image quality and the ISO setting but neither of these adjustments have improved the quality of the pictures. The printed pictures look worse than the images on the LCD screen. I c

Blurred pictures I started using my new Nikon Coolpix on Christmas Eve and have taken photos for about 2 weeks. More than half of the pictures are very blurry after I transferred them to my computer and enlarged them to view. My daughter also got a Canon Elph on the same day and her photo quality is much much better. I also own a Nikon D5000 and have always been very happy with the quality, thus my choice of a Nikon pocket camera. Have I made a mistake?

Canon A560 camera problem - the images are overexposed. I checked the exposure setting, AWB, and all other settings and they are all normal. Red eyes appear in all my photos how do I eliminate that? Also if I am taking photos outdoors on a snowy day with not much sunlight how can I get good photos?

My panasonic has amazing imaging stabilising properties, and crystal clear images. But the flash is too bright, and washes everything out far too much, making faces and scenery white all the time. The colours arent natural more than often. They're just wishy washy. So I bought a sony, and the colours are much more natural, and flash much more reasonable, but the image quality is really not great at all, especially in low light conditions, and the image stabilising is almost useless!!!! I've got a Fujifilm F30. Since yesterday, its not working properly. When I take photos, it 'absorbs' too much light and indoor photos becomes really bright and outdoor photos becomes nearly white from brightness. And when I transfer the pictures to computer, it has minor lines accross the picture. The video mode seems to be unaffected. What is the problem and is it worth fixing ? Would like to fix it if I can as F30 is still considered one of the best compact camera Fuji has ever made ! Thanks.

Hi, I have a Canon 20D and a Sppedlite 550EX (I use for almost every shot). My problem is that 80-90% of my photos always return back from the printers too dark. I have tried up'ing my exposure both on my camera and flash, but this just overexposes parts of the photo too much. My histogram also looks relatively correct on these shots.
