My canon digial rebel will not work in AutoFocus mode
\015 When my camera is in AF mode (the switch on the lens) it will not focus and it will not take any pictures. If I switch it to manual I can at least still take pictures, but obviously AF is much easier. I was not taking pictures at the time this started happening, so I don't know for sure if any buttons were pushed to make this happen.\015\012\015\012Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may have caused this, or how I can go about getting it to work again?\015
Have you tried removing the lense and then putting it back on, then turning on camara again?

Canon EOS Rebel XT with EFS 18-55mm lens. Trouble-free for two years. During a weekend of lots of use, suddenly the camera would not autofocus. Switching to manual focus, the camera worked. Then it started working okay in autofocus. Later that day quit altogether. (Would not release shutter even in manual mode.) Removed the lens and cleaned the contacts on both lens and camera, started working okay but only temporary. Went through several cycles of this over the weekend, so I'm not sure

My Canon Rebel XT camera was working just fine, but suddenly halfway through using it won't shoot any more. Everything on the camera works just fine, it just won't take any photographs in any mode. It can't be a problem with my CF card as its a trusty one I've had for a while, and I've tried formatting it just in case and my camera still won't work.

I have a Canon Digital EOS Rebel XT and the built-in flash no longer pops up when needed. This started happening after using a Canon speedlite, but then removing it. I've tried resetting everything, and tried all modes expecting that the ones listed in the manual as using a flash would work, but they dont, it never pops up. I lifted up the flash with my fingernail manually, and then tried taking a picture where a flash was most definitely needed, but it still had a long delay, no flash, and

I can't seem to get my autofocus to work on my new Canon T1. The mode dial is switched to full auto, the fous mode switch is on AF, and the Image Stabilizer switch is in the "on" position. I've searched through the manual to see what I am doing wrong, but can find nothing. Any help you can offer would
Hope I can help with some input to your problem. Let me suggest please that you switch the "mode" dial to "P" for program, check your ISO (I personally shoot ISO 100) and set it for a speed ISO 400 or lower. Most DSLR's use contrast to focus so a mir ... Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTI Digital Camera

I have a Canon EOS Rebel (Model # DS6041). It is about 4 years old and just recently, it started taking only the top third of a picture. It sounds like the shutter is also responding quite slowly and the autofocus doesn't seem to work every time. I can't think of any particular event that occurred just prior to it acting like this.

I am using Canon 1000D dslr for more than 18months, it was working fine until last Sunday. Only turning it off and then back on would start it again. Sometimes even this did not work for more than ten seconds Is this a fault? Why does it only happen sometimes? I'm not sure if it do
