Using my Canon XSi/450D, I'm interested in doing High Dynamic Range photography. But I can't discover how to make the automated shutter-speed range multi-shot (3 for the 450D) AEB work. I've gone into the menu and select and change the AEB range ( -2V) and pressed "set." Working from the "AV" in creative mode, I then set up my first shot with focus and ISO, and shoot. Now what? When I press the shoot button, an ordinary photo is captured, and if I continue to press the button additional cap

I'm trying to shoot HDR photos using my XSi/450D. From the menu two I've set the AEB EV step range as 0, -2 and 2. From here, though, I don't know what to do. If I go directly from the menu to shooting, I don't get any automatic shots, but rather single, individual shots based on the current exposure settings. Help. I've scanned my 45D manual, DVD tutorial, etc. and cannot find my missing step to create a series of AEB shots. Many Thanks, Robert

Exposure problem Hi,i'm using EOS 1dMK2 for 5 months now & i've noticed the same problem i've had using D60,1D wich is when i set the camera to top ISO speed & high speed continous shooting almost every second shot is underexposed for 1 stop, stangely this only happens indoor under tungsten or flourescent light.I've also tried to:set custom white ballance, shoot raw ,change lenses, set manual exposure & aperture. Has anyone else noticed this ? P.S. Parameters for both pictures are 1/250sec, f4 ,
If you set your meter based on the white (or substantially white) wall, as per the attachment, I would expect the image to be underexposed. ... Canon EOS-1D Mark II Digital Camera

Dark Images At some point, the images from the camera became very dark in automatic mode. Previous to that, the images were perfect. I have checked all settings many times and changed back to default settings. Nothing has seemed to work other than to change mode to "P" and set for extra exposure. Thanks.
Even in automatic mode, camera still lets you pick what ISO to use. If ISO-Auto is OFF in camera menus, this can give some dark images. Press and hold ISO button and rotate command dial to give a higher ISO, or turn ISO-Auto on in camera menu with cr ... Nikon D40x Digital Camera
I bought a second hand d70s. it seems to have a problem. the shutter release button does not seem to do anything when pressed half way (like auto focus). I can only get autofocus to work if i program AE-L/AF-L button to AF-ON. I press the AE-L/AF-L button on the back, then press the shutter to take the shot. And if i set the AE Lock On, pressing the shutter button half way does not lock the exposure setting. so there seems to be an issue with the shutter button itself...is there an easy fi

Batteries "depleted" my camera was working perfect with some rechargeable NiMh batteries i had bought, giving me about 400 shots / charge. However at one point, for no apparent reason, when i used them, they would be shown as 'depleted' by the camera after about 4-5 shots, shutting the camera down. It stayed like this so I decided to buy a set of new NiMh batteries, i bought panasonic brand. But the problem remains now, whenever i insert batteries, they will be depleted (or at least according to

Sometimes after I have been using the camera (Sony alpha 100) to take a few shots, turned it off to save battery drain and when it is switched on again it sets the focus and beeps as part of the start routine without my touching the release button. I have a Nikon D40x. Camera works fine, but sometimes it does not shoot a picture when shutter is depressed. It will just beep and shutter will not go. This very frustrating as I've lost many shots. Usually a re-framing/re-focus will fix it. Is there a setting to avoid this? Thanks.
There are a few factors that don't allow a camera to focus. If the lighting conditions are low the camera will have trouble due to the light level, especially when you are using a slow lens (with an aperture smaller than f3.5).\015\012\01 ... Nikon D40x Digital Camera

I own a Canon EOS Rebel XTi. This camera is unpredictable; i.e., I never know when it will decide not to record an image. I have reset it many times to the manufacturer's default settings, and then it SOMETIMES works, but then for some reason stops recording images. I have started to always carry a second camera (a point & shoot). However I am enrolled in a number of photography classes in the new year where I need an SLR. Is this camera issue serious or something I can fix? Thanks.

It seems to me that Nikon Point & Shoot cameras, or at least the last 2 that I have bought, have a usable life span of approx 4 or so years before the LCD's decide not to work in turn, makes the camera non usable. Over exposure The exposure settings on the camera have suddenly become fixed - I can't change them either through fixing shutter speed, OEV, or any other settings. Even tried a factory reset by selecting 'initialize' from the menu, but the problem persists. High or low exposure settings are visible on the viewfinder (i.e. changing the settings shows the picture getting darker or lighter on the screen), but once the picture is shot, it's fixed at an overexposed state.

This is a mind bender, While doing a shoot using monolights connected to a Nikon D1x I encountered exposure problems. After the lights were metered for the best exposure, I started shooting. The first ten or so shots were fine, and all of a sudden the next ten shots looked like they were 8 stops over, and then it went to looking ok. The first thing I did was switch monolights thinking there was a problem with the flash, this did not resolve the issue. Next I switched camera bodies, still the int

Flash Error Hi there, bought this camera about 6 months ago. I'm intermittently getting a problem with the pop-up flash. It pops up fine, but the screen gives me an error telling me it hasn't and won't take any shots. Have to keep switching it off and on and hoping it will work again. Sometimes it's a couple of days before it works again. It will take shots when I switch the camera to the 'no flash' setting, so it does seem to be just the flash. The error says that the flash release is jamming,
The error 5 can mean that there is something blocking the flash from popping up. If it is up but still get the message then you need to check to see if the little black pin/stick that lets the camera know that the flash is up, is not stuck. With the ... Canon EOS 400D / Rebel XTi Digital Camera
