My digital Rebel is not focusing the lens correctly

\015 My digital Rebel is 4 years old and has been working great but now it doesn't seem to be focusing the lens correctly. I have tried to change lenses and that doesn't help.\015

Answers :

Frequently the cause for these problems regardless of the camera manufacturer is either the small, brass connections are dirty, the back glass of the lens is dirty, or the reflector is dirty. Use caution when cleaning the glass, only use the proper cloth. Same goes for the reflector.\015\012
\015\012To clean the brass connectors use a foam tip Q-tip or very very carefully use a regular Q-tip. Dip it in 99% alcohol (NOT regular isopropyl alcohol, it's only 70% and contains water - not good! Be sure to check the label!) Once the contacts are clean on both the camera body and the lens, allow them to dry thoroughly (which doesn't take long outside, but any alcohol that got in the cracks may still be wet.). Not allowing the parts to dry completely can cause them to short out, then you've go bigger problems. Just a little patience goes a long way!\015\012

My Canon digital rebel will not autofocus correctly. My camera has 7 points autofocus, but it will only autofocus on the far right point. All other points are not used. I have had the camera for 14 months and the problem just began. If I want to focus on anything in the left to center of the field of vision, I cannot do it. However, the lens focuses manually very well. Why won't my camera focus on other points than the far right one?

I had this problem awhile ago - you must have accidently adjusted the focal area - it is sooooo easy to do without realising it. Here is what I was told:**************************Most likely, you have changed the AF point, which onl ... Canon Rebel XT / EOS 350D Digital Camera

I have a Canon Digital Rebel XT camera using a 75-300mm telephoto lens. My problem with the lens is that at times it is hard to adjust the focus either manually or automatically with the camera. I hear something rattling around inside the lens and at times the lens will not auto-focus and I have to remove the lens and manually twist it to get it back to some normal operation. Is this fixable or do I need a new lens?

It sounds like the lens has been dropped or knocked and is misaligned in the guides.Repair against new lewns is a difficult one as prices vary. I would perhaps consider replacing it with a used one. Before you do borrow a similar lens from some ... Canon Digital Cameras

Hi there. I suddenly have a problem focusing my canon digital rebel xt. I have done nothing different to it, but cannot get it to focus AT ALL now. I am a professional photographer so tried other troubleshooting routes that I thought might cause focus problems (i.e. not enough light; played around with the shutter speed, f stops. etc.). I also took battery out, and put back. I took lens off and put back on. Any other ideas that you can suggest that would be causing this problem? Thank you for yo

I have a Canon EOS Digital Rebel, and just recently noticed an issue with the focus. I can't seem to focus in on anything, regardless of the distance, setting, lens, or if I'm in MF/AF. I'm guessing it has to be some sort of internal issue, but I don't know what this would be or how to fix it.
