Having problems with your Canon Rebel XT / EOS 350D Digital Camera ?

Recently my rebel xt has had problems with the CF memory card ejector button. It seems to be physically loose from whatever mechanism ejected the card from the camera. How do I fix this?

Answers :

If your CF card is still inside the camera, and if the eject button does not pop up anymore, try to push the CF card until the button pops up again. The normal scenario is that when the CF card is inside, the button should pop up. If the CF card is removed, the button stays inside.

However, even without the CF card, the button comes out when you hold the camera's side with the button facing downwards and the button slides, down, then the mechanism holding the button connected to the CF card slot got loose or broken. If this is the case, this is something you cannot do yourself and your camera needs to be taken to an authorized service center. If it is still under warranty, it would save you the cost of having it repaired.

I just got my camera back from Canon but it still isn't working right! I took it in because when I turned it on it said NO CF CARD. They fixed the metal prongs. Now, it still doesn't work to store or view photos on the camera without a cf card. I inserted my old CF (undamaged card) and formatted it and now it seems to take photos BUT nothing shows on my camera viewfinder when I go to take the photos. It shows I have over 3000 photos on my card but they will not display. Help!

I have a Digital Rebel 40 D camera less than 1 year old and I removed the memory card and I cannot get it to go back into the slot. The eject button is still depressed after I depressed it to eject the memory card out of it. This is the first time this has happened. I had the original Canon Rebel with over 100,000 pictures taken on it and this never happened. This camera has less than 5,000 shoots and not it is unusable. Any suggestions ? Thank you, Terry

The power switch won't turn to Off from the Player position. There is a tiny green button that usually releases the switch so it will turn. This tiny green button seems to move in but I'm not sure if it's going in far enough. I suspect it is broken on the inside where it releases. I don't know if I can remove the switch knob by prying it up off the switch or if you can suggest a method of fixing this.
