After submerging my DSC T7 under water with the use of the proper water casing Cyber-shot SPK-THA, the control buttons to the left of the viewing screen and the focus control on top started malfunctioning. Battery failure I charge my Pentax Optio S5z battery on the charger then put it in the camera when it is fully charged (green light comes on on the charger) but the camera won't work ie. battery is dead, as i put it back in the charger and the light comes up red like it is flat again. Sometimes I just leave it in the camera and it seems to work after a few days, then may last for a day or sometimes for ages. I'm guessing the battery is stuffed but I want to check before I buy a new one. Please

Won't work Have a C875 for a year now, and it has been working just fine. The other day I decided to try a AC adapter on it. Well, the AC adapter I used is one of those variable voltage ones. I set the voltage for 3 volts, plugged it in, it doesn't work. O.K. I put the batteries back in, still don't work. And, to top it off, the batteries get hot. Took the camera apart and I don't see anything burned up. Lost. Any help on what the solution could be and how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

Slow camera Thank you for the suggestions. I got the camera about 6 years ago and it worked fine. The problem started recently, over the last few months. It cannot be related to the card, or the processor. They were the same when it worked well. It is charging up very slowly. I think it is either a capacitor or a rechargable battery that lost performance over time. Do you know anything about the inside battery?
