Having problems with your Casio Exilim EX-S500 Digital Camera ?
When i use the video setting on High Speed, the background is dark unlike the normal setting where the background is normal
Think about it...when on high speed, the shutter isn't open as long as when on "normal", therefore, less light hits the sensor. You could try raising the ISO setting or raising the exposure compensation setting for more light.

I have a nikon d200. The last time I used it (only a few days ago) it was fine, everything normal. Then yesterday I pull out out of the case and everything seems to be going wrong. It is metering INSANELY low, like a shutter speed of 100 in full daylight produces a REALLY dark image. It won't auto focus at all, and i am unable to change the fstop in manual or aperture priority modes. I tried to restore it to factory settings and the lcd screen flashed to indicate it had been restored but no luck
Your boyfriend is probably right, and it makes sense, if you can't change the f-stops. \015\012The following blog on Flickr might help you:\015\012 ... Nikon D200 Body Only Digital Camera
Exposure problem Hi,i'm using EOS 1dMK2 for 5 months now & i've noticed the same problem i've had using D60,1D wich is when i set the camera to top ISO speed & high speed continous shooting almost every second shot is underexposed for 1 stop, stangely this only happens indoor under tungsten or flourescent light.I've also tried to:set custom white ballance, shoot raw ,change lenses, set manual exposure & aperture. Has anyone else noticed this ? P.S. Parameters for both pictures are 1/250sec, f4 ,
If you set your meter based on the white (or substantially white) wall, as per the attachment, I would expect the image to be underexposed. ... Canon EOS-1D Mark II Digital Camera
My shutter speed has to now be put on a low speed like 80 for the brightness to be good enough. i used to be able to easily put it on 320 so it was high quality and bright. now it has to be a low quality picture. i usually use the Tv setting but its not just that setting. please help

I have a rebel xt 350D , using 75-300mm 5.6f lens to do some girls basketball photography inside a gym. Had camera set on: ISO 1600, M mode, 5.6f, 200 shutter speed (that seem to set automatically), used built in flash, Exposure level was in the middle of the chart, auto focus, al servo, continuous shooting, used awb. Got pretty good freeze action shots, with little or no blurring but the photos were dark. Some I could make lighter with photoshop but lost some detail and the contrast was too muc
Unless you were up close and personal, the built-in flash was your problem. Anything past about 15 feet and your picture will be dark. You would have been better off turning the flash off and using available light. Once the flash is off, you can set ... Digital Cameras
Dark exposure I have a Nkon D40x. Setting the selector to Auto, Shutter or Appature(SP) the image comes out dark. The historgram shows a spike that is totally contained in the first quarter of the screen. When I use the manual setting the image improve as the shutter speed was slowed down (1/80sec and ~7f the image improves). Any guess as to what is happening?
Check your ISO setting...should be between 100 to 400 for normal pictures.Did you change your exposure compensation setting to something other than "0"? Is the aperture ring on the lens set to the "A" position? ... Nikon D40x Digital Camera

Dark pictures I have a Canon EOS REbel T2 with the standard 28-90 lens. It had been working fine, but now my pictures are (almost all) coming out very dark and grainy. Further, I note that if I turn the camera 90 degrees to that a "portrait" picture -- 6" tall and 4" wide, I see a dark rectangle in the picture in the bottom right quadrant. I always set the camera to full program (the green rectangle). I have been using Fuji 400 speed file of late. Do you have any idea what I"m doing wrong?
Check whether the ISO rating set in the camera is correct. Also, if the images are grainy and dark, it may be an issue with the exposure. ... Canon EOS Rebel T2 with 28-90 lens 35mm Film Camera

Using my Canon XSi/450D, I'm interested in doing High Dynamic Range photography. But I can't discover how to make the automated shutter-speed range multi-shot (3 for the 450D) AEB work. I've gone into the menu and select and change the AEB range ( -2V) and pressed "set." Working from the "AV" in creative mode, I then set up my first shot with focus and ISO, and shoot. Now what? When I press the shoot button, an ordinary photo is captured, and if I continue to press the button additional cap

I have one red pixel shines up in the dark back ground with 1/15s speed and 400 ISO settings. I tried to use manual clear method to map it out but does not work. I tried 3-4 times from 30s to 2 minutes. What else I can do to get rid of it? Thanks.
Do you get the same effect with different speeds and/or iso settings? If so, theres nothing you can do to get rid of a dead pixel other than to have the factory refurbish it. If not..sorry...can't help you further. ... Canon EOS 40D Digital Camera
White out Every photo I take seems to white out, as if it is letting in to much light. But it is more than this, as it is possible to see white streaking on the image as well. I have also tried taking photos in various manual settings, resulting in the same problem. It seems to be a little better in doors. However when I use video mode the image is normal. This problem first occured on holiday in Singapore - when I took it into a shop out there they said it was probably the heat. But the problem

Canon SD600 I used my camera to take pictures of fireworks and I noticed that afterwards, all the photos I was taking outside in daylight were turning white. If I take pictures in the dark, they turn out perfect, and low light pictures are fairly normal except anywhere where there is a light source (lamp, window, etc) the color is streaky and orange. This particular camera has no way to adjust the aperture settings and I am considering taking it to a shop to have it looked at. Is there anything
