Does anyone have instructions for getting at the lens mechanism? I totally understand the risks of doing this myself, but the cost of getting a shop to do this is nearly as much as a new camera! I am sure the problem is caused by sand. The lens at first just went in and out a few time, before the camera turned off. I vacuumed it, then slapped it against the side of my hand whilst turning it on - now it turns on properly with the lens out, but it wont focus - so you can only take blurry photo

I have a Samsung L201. I dropped my camera today (lens down) on sand, and now the lens won't go back it. Every time i turn it on it sounds a distinct 4x buzz sound, followed by a pause and then 3 beep sounds, followed by another 4x buzz sounds. There is no sand noticeable anywhere in the mechanism and was picked up as soon as it was dropped. Can I do anything to reset it myself? Please help. Thank you :)

I have a Nikon D40X camera with two lenses - one is 18-55 and the other is 55-200. Unfortunately, when I was at a wedding rehearsal, my 55-200 lens dropped off the pew on to the ground. It was not on the camera at the time and it has not worked properly ever since. My camera works properly with the 18-55 lens. Is there anything that can be done to fix it? Essentially, the camera can still focus, in and out, but when I try and push the button down, to take a picture, it just continues to refocus

I have a D90 and I just got, used, a 50 mm f/1.4 D lens. The lens motor sounds like it is working, but only moves the lens a small amount. Not enough to properly auto focus. It will manually focus, but the movement is not as free as another 50 mm lens I compared it to. Yes, I could bring it back, but if there is a simple fix, I'd like to do that.

Suspect the LS443 kodak "on" button was activated while in my pocket, causing the lens deployment that probably misaligned the lens and caused the current problem. My Nikon D60 fell and the lens came off. Now the lens no longer holds -- it appears that a piece of plastic has chipped which prevents the lens to click close. Where do you recommend I get it fixed. I bought it at Best Buy -- should I go there, ship to Nikon or find a local store. Is it worth repairing in the first place?
If you are no longer covered by an in-store warranty, whether an extended service or recent sale (typically 30 days) type, going back to Best Buy probably will not help (but asking about it can't hurt). \015\012\015\012Nikon Customer Supp ... Nikon D60 Digital Camera with 18-55mm lens
