Olympus FE170 digital camera shows battery compartment empty with batteries in place I have the same problem. When I place fully recharged batteries in the Olympus FE 170, the camera won't power on at all. When I first did this, it would power on once and then when I went to take a picture it said the battery was too low. If I put new disposable batteries in camera it works. On rechargeable batteries, check the mAh on the side, you would need to be about 2300 or more. also the shelf life on some rechargeables may be less than desireable... try lithium digital ... Olympus FE-170 Digital Camera

No power after working sucessfully for a couple of years out of the blue the camera will not now turn on, I have tried various different batteries incase it was this but find it very strange that the camera should just die like this when it has not been dropped or damaged etc. I keep being told by people that it will probably cost more to replace the camera than to have it fixed, I find this hard to believe as it wasnt a cheap camera in the first place. can anyone please help

I was needing a new flash for my sony a230 camera and I ordered a sony flash from accessorycircuit.com. Anyway to make a long story short, they were out of the flash I wanted and said that they had got the new Vivitar Pro 648 series flash in and that it was really good and would work with my camera. I wanted to read up and find out more before I bought it. I can only find out the tech specs on the vivitar pro648 on the vivitar site and that is the only place I can find out any info at all.

Hi, I had a spare kodak c330 camera which was in perfect working condition. Since I am using a Nikon camera now, i thought of converting the kodak camera to an infra-red camera. so i opened it, and after a few unsuccesful attempts, I was finally able to open the lens assembly and take out the infra-red filter. however, when I was putting everything back in place(assembling), there was a big spark - one like short circuit - probably caused by the huge capacitor that is used for the flash circuit.

Maintaining Date/Time I've recently inherited a Fuji E510 camera.
