Camera will work while in outlet but once removed wil not?

\015 I have a Fujifilm J38 that I got for Christmasand it won't work. I can take pictures and the camera works fine whenit's plugged into an outlet, but when I remove it it won't turn on or doanything. Even if I charge it for a day and unplug it it refuses to turnon. I already tried resetting the camera and formatting the memory cardbut it won't work. The camera says that it works with my memory card,help?\015

This sounds more like the battery is dead and won't hold a charge rather than the resetting it, trying to charge it or the card.

The fact that you have said that it works when plugged into the mains power is an indication that its the battery which is at fault here and nothing else.

I'm a new user of the D90 (and digital in general), and on my first major trip with it I had problem with the shutter not working. I would take some images, put the camera down without turning it off and move on to the next spot. At the second stop the camera would not work. I'd turn it off, remove the battery, run the lens in and out and eventually it would work again. The message I got was F--, which said that the lens was not installed properly. However the lens was never removed. What's

I have a canon rebel xti with an 18 to 55 lens .. I recently bought an external flash to sit in the hot shoe .. now when I removed the flash from the hot shoe .. the cameras own flash will not pop up and work... I can manually pop the flash but it still will not work..  I thought that when I bought the flash at the camera store the sales person turned off something on the camera for the new flash to work.. is there something I need to change in the menus to get the cameras own flash to work.....

I had the same problem. \015\012Look closely at the hotshoe. Inside it, way over to the side, under one of the tabs on the side, is a tiny metal strip. I have a Nikon D70 camera. I'm using a Lexar 2GB card inside. Problem focuses on the card. Previous to this moment, card has worked fine.
