Having problems with your Fuji FinePix A345 Digital Camera ?

It got soaked by sea water accidentally.I removed the batteries and the memory card asp. H append just less than 24 hrs back. What should I do?

Answers :

Leave the battery door open!
\015\012Unless you open up the casing and dry out the camera as soon as possible the chances are that the camera will die.
\015\012Salt water will start to corrode the circuit board and get into the lens. It may start to work after a while but will fail soon.
\015\012If you are unable to open the camera try this as apossible solution, although I don't really recomend it. Use a hairdryer on a low heat and blow into the battery compartment ( it's the only opening if you can't actually open the case) the hot air should circulate through the camera and speed up the drying. If you can get it to power up - keep the lens moving with the zoom to keep it free.

I have a Digital Rebel 40 D camera less than 1 year old and I removed the memory card and I cannot get it to go back into the slot. The eject button is still depressed after I depressed it to eject the memory card out of it. This is the first time this has happened. I had the original Canon Rebel with over 100,000 pictures taken on it and this never happened. This camera has less than 5,000 shoots and not it is unusable. Any suggestions ? Thank you, Terry

Im no expert, but i would use a flashlight to look inside the memory card holder and see if anythings messed up, and maybe jiggle the eject button a bit, and just maybe the button doesnt come up again until you push in the memory card. give it a litt ... Canon EOS 400D / Rebel XTi Digital Camera

I occasionally get an err 99 when shooting a sequence. It's as though the images can't be written to the card fast enough and it jams. The only way to reset the camera is to turn it off, remove and replace the battery and turn it back on. This is a major inconvenience as it tends to happen more often when I shoot water and the camera is secured in my housing. Please help me!

Dipped my Canon 7D in the water, only a little bit wet. Removed card and big battery and lens and dried it. When I put it all back on there was no life at all. Any ideas Steve

Not sure what "dipped" means. Was it fully immersed? If so, water got into the electrical circuits. If you turned it on while still wet, you probably "fried" them. You should have buried the camera in a bowl of uncooked rice for a week first. ... Canon EOS 7D Digital Camera

My daughters 7d has stopped working, it is less than 3 months old, what do we do. We have removed the lense, batteries, and cf card, put them all back and depressed the shutter before turning the camera on. We have also allowed for drying time, in case of condensation, we have wiped and connectors, plus we bought the camera, the day she left to go overseas for a year.

Kodak DX7590.. accidentally dropped it in a waterfall.. it was under water for only a few seconds.. I took everything out (battery, memory card, etc etc) and let it dry out before trying again. Now it will come on, start up and act as if it is okay, but then immediately shut back down. Should I just ditch it and buy another (don't really want to do that because I love this camera...), or ???.. Any suggestions would be most helpful!

Error I was erasing an image on my cf card in camera last week and being it was a tiff I set the camera down as the hourglass spun in the processing mode.
