Having problems with your Fuji FinePix E500 Digital Camera ?

I own an E500 finepix and I am shortly to go on holiday where I will be taking a lot of snaps, so I would like you to tell me which setting would be best for the ,most general snaps irrespective of the size of my sd card.I have 64mb and a 1gb cards to use. I am aware of the fact that I have a manual , but I cannot seem to get the max '(photos) out of my cards , could you please help, because where I am going to take the photos is a once only place . If I understand you correctly, you want to get the most pics on a card possible. You can do that by going into the menu and choosing the lowest quality setting and lowest number of pixels. The problem is, if you later decide to print the pics or if you find a really great shot that you want to enlarge to 8x10, the low-quality pics will look terrible. If this is truly a once in a lifetime trip, get more or larger cards, set your camera to get the highest quality pics possible and enjoy yourself in the knowledge that you've got the best pics possible.

The CF card in the wife's S9500 has ceased to be read via the USB cable in both Windows XP and Linux (both systems saw the camera before as an external drive). FujiFilm s700 I recently tried to use and 8 gb card with my s700. I actually could use it. however when i tried to download the photos the camera would not turn on.
