Having problems with your Fuji FinePix F30 Digital Camera ?
Pictures Readable on Camera, but NOT on computer
\015 Hi there,\015\012\015\012I'm using a Fuji FinePix F31fd for a while now, and only recently has this problem occured. I'm using a 2GB "M" Fujifilm xD-picture card.\015\012\015\012After taking many photos in Yosemite, I realise that all the files cannot be opened on the computer when I use a xD card reader. However, all the files are present (not missing), and they are of the right size (approx 700kb, meaning there is no loss of data). However, they just cannot be opened as picture files. Happens to both picture and video files.\015\012\015\012When I put the xD card back into the camera, the photos CAN ALL be viewed on the camera! Even the videos can be played!\015\012\015\012The next time I took pictures, the files turned out ok. They could be saved and view on the computer. But on another occasion, the same problem happened to another batch of pictures. So it's a random thing.\015\012\015\012I tried using file recovery programs, but they do not work, partially because the files aren't really corrupted or missing. They are there, but they just cannot be opened as picture files. \015\012\015\012Please help! Thank you so much!\015\012\015
I found the solution to the problem. Connect the camera with the cord supplied. Do not open Finepix. Open Photoshop if you have it and go to file>import>via f31 or f30 and choose the pictures you want to import. Done !!!!!
I have had the same problem and it doesn't matter if I format or not.
