Hello I just purchased a .42 wide angle fisheye lens for my panasonic lumix dmc-fz8 and when i bought it on ebay it said its for either a fz7/8. When i tried to attach it today the lens adapter does not fit the thread. I was wondering if maybe the lens on the camera should be taken off? I'm not sure. And it is possible to just use the fisheye lens without the adapter? Because it fits when just put the fisheye lens but when i turn it on it says "please remove lens cap then press play" so I'm very

Filter I like to keep a filter on at all times to protect my lens on my new FZ10. I am fairly familiar with the effects of various filters on 35mm cameras but don't know what affects these digitals. I have several UV and Skylight filters around that I can use on my FZ10 with my PD62 adapter. Which works best with digital cams? What do you use?

Skylight filters don't generally block UV, they change the colour tint optically, which you can do without danger of image degredation in post-processing, so I woudn't really recommend using a skylight filter for digital cameras.\015\012\015\012I hav ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ10 Digital Camera

I am a sigma lens and filter user for my Nikon D60. I haven't used filters before and have acquired a 72 mm DG Filter. I would like to know how to use it properly, Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted. thank you in advance.

It depends on the filter.\012\012\012If it's a DG UV (ultraviolet) filter, it cuts reduces the ultraviolet light reaching the lens. UV light scattered from particles in the air is what produces much of the haze that can obscure distant ob ... Digital Cameras

Hi all, I wonder if you can supply some advice regarding a Sigma17-35mm lens I purchased earlier in the year. Basically if I use the automatic or 'P' setting on my Canon EOS 30D camera the image is over exposed by 1 to 2 stops. If I use the same functions with my Canon 18 -55 kit lens the exposure is correct so I would presume the camera is not causing the problem. The only way I can get a correct exposure with the Sigma lens is to compensate manually for each shot. Please note the exposure p

I bought a power adapter for the camera, but it doesn't seem to work without batteries in the unit. If I use the batteries alone, I will eventually get a red blinking light at the back of the camera, indicating low battery power, hence the purchase of a power adapter. When using both power adapter and batteries, the red light on the front of the camera is illuminated. The green light on the back of the camera is blinking. 62 size I am assuming that the 62 size will be perfect and it will leave the lens as close to the filter as possible? Is this what I should be shooting for? What if I want to add a macro or a wide-angle lens? Would I need any more adapters to attach another lens, or does it dpend on the lens?

If you want to add other lenses, either macro, wide angle, telephoto or just filters, they go directly on the adapter. That's why the thread size (62mm) is important because that's the best fit for that adapter. If you get other sizes you can still u ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ20 Digital Camera

I have dissembled the camera many times (yes, I void the warranty, I know) to rectify the unalingment of the 'lens extension' mechanism or whatever you use to describe =) After solving this however, I still thought it nescesarry to replace the lens. I bought a Canon 40D from Amazon--through Ace Digital Photo--in a kit with a 17-85mm lens, presumably new. I replaced it recently with the 50D. Now I learn that the camera, which was never outside my home and has about 100 activations was used--quite a lot of use and significant dust on the sensor. I was cheated, obviously. I can see the dust myself and a camera shop told me the camera was used extensively. Well, I am pretty disappointed. The purchase date was around 08/01/2008 and I still

Wobbly lens I have just purchased a Sony W130. It is my first ever camera. When the camera is off the lens section can be moved about 1/2mm with gentle movement of the camera. When zoom is fully extended it can be moved side to side by gentle pushing about 1 1/2mm. Is this normal or is the camera faulty? Hi, I had a spare kodak c330 camera which was in perfect working condition. Since I am using a Nikon camera now, i thought of converting the kodak camera to an infra-red camera. so i opened it, and after a few unsuccesful attempts, I was finally able to open the lens assembly and take out the infra-red filter. however, when I was putting everything back in place(assembling), there was a big spark - one like short circuit - probably caused by the huge capacitor that is used for the flash circuit.

The capacitor has shorted the circuits i would not bother with it .....sorry ... Kodak EasyShare C330 Digital Camera
