Try this photography technique called panning...
panning is when your shooting a moving object you need to follow that moving object while pressing shutter speed..this technique is the technique photographers to capture moving objects...Have you seen a picture that has a blurry background and focused subject (ex. cyclist) panning is used to create this kinds of pictures...try to search in google or photo sites about Panning

My Fuji s2000 always shoots picture that are blured. I have tried many settings and different exposures however I keep getting the same result. What can I do ? The worst mode on this camera is the auto mode, I can never get a clear indoor picture. This camera takes beautiful pictures of flowers/nature and all outdoor photo's turn out beautiful it is the indoor photo's I have even tried the sports mode for when people move but I still get a very blured image

Found the same thing and I think the answer is the opposite of previous suggestions. The s2000 is truly awful at anything above about 400ASA The degree of pixel binning it uses just makes the pictures look terrible. Force the camera to use 400 or s ... Fuji FinePix S2000hd Digital Camera

EOS 450D/18-55 IS, problems with AF Hi all. I am using a Canon EOS 450D, 2 years, with standard 18-55 IS lens kit. Yeasterday a friend shoot a lot of fotos indoor, with the incorp flash, once outside I could not shot anymore because the autofocus was not working well only the manual mode was working. White Screen Hi Just like JayJay reported on 26 Jul 2006, my S5000 went white screen yesterday after previously behaving ok. I've tried all modes from AF to Manual. Like JJ I can view previous frames which view OK. I've changed batteries, tried to balance exposure. In Appature mode the reading is 2000 f8 and will not vary. Hopefully someone out there can offer a solution ? lenk

Hi. I have a Canon Xsi/450D Camera. I can access the menu funtions when in the preset modes eg. landscape, sports etc. but when i rotate the dial past the Auto mode into the manual settings modes(the creative zone as canon calls them) the menu funtion will not work. I push the menu button and nothing, the remote funtions will not work either. I've tried to update the firmware, but as you have to access the menu in the manual modess to do this i cant update the firmware either(also cant do

The manual mode runs off power from a separarte capacitor. The capacitor holds a charge which is greater than the voltage of the battery for the needs of this option. When a capacitor fails nothing will operate in the manual mode. You will need to ha ... Canon EOS Rebel XSi Digital Camera

I am setting my ISO at 1600 and pushing my f-stop as low as I can go, am I doing something wrong? It worked once for a recent football game but again last night shooting soccer could not get the bulb setting to turn off.

First of all, shooting sports in manual is about the most difficult thing you could ever choose to do. I use the Av (Aperture Priority) and let the camera set the shutter speed. Just set your aperture wide open and fire away. That way, you're not con ... Canon Rebel XT / EOS 350D Digital Camera

My eos40d on sports mode is not shooting at its proper speed at 6.5 frames per second. it shoots 2 frames per second and the piture cones out orange and not focus I only have this camera four weeks any ideas what wrong thanks

6.5fps is only the manufacturer's indicative maximum. The camera will not always perform at this speed when conditions aren't suitable (too dark, for example). In Sports Mode, the camera decides the correct shutter speed for that scene. If it's not ... Canon EOS 40D Digital Camera

Olympus SP-550 UZ won't focus properly most of the time. Focus point should be infinity since my subjects are seascapes, sunsets and clouds. I've tried all 3 AF focus modes but none work consistently. I can get it to focus sometimes if point the camera at the ocean first. I've even tried manual focus but it won't focus to infinity. This camera is practically new, has never been dropped. Is this a known problem with this camera? Is it a settings problem (I've reset the camera to factory settings

Shutter speed I'm trying to work out the mode which gives the shutter speed of 1/1500 I think it's the 'sports' mode but unsure if aperture will also need adjusting Is this right? If not how do I achieve fastest shutter sped? Thanks

On most fuji cameras the programmed shutter speed for the sports or action mode is 1/1600. This is the mode you need to use. You should not have to change the aperature unless you have a problem with the light. This is the most difficult shot to make ... Fuji FinePix S3500 Digital Camera

Zooming FE-280 camera - Worked great for about 2 weeks. While on vacation developed a problem - when you turn the camera on the lens goes in and out like it is trying to focus. Once it is through with the lens action when you try to set up for a picture (any mode) and focus on the subject the camera will not focus and then shuts down. Acts like the battery is dead but camera shows fully charged battery. Any ideas?

I am trying to take action pictures on my kids in sports, everything is blurry. The continuous shooting mode is slow. Do I just need a better camera or is there a setting fix for this?

Hi,\015\012If you find the continuous shooting mode and the sports mode just isn't cutting it I'd suggest a batter camera. Depending on your price range and size my suggestion would be a Canon S95 or moving up to a DSLR. If your need more help with c ... Canon PowerShot SX130 IS Digital Camera

I have a Nikon D5000 and my daughter is a competitive cheerleader and every competition the lighting is always dark and on the stage is really bright. My problem is i can't seem to get good pictures with my camera and i have tried all different kinds of modes. she turns out blurry all together are parts of her body will be blurry. What do i do to get a crisp picture of my daughter in action in these situations?

All indoor pictures look grainy or blurry. There are a lot of noise in my photos, and it really seems to have difficulty capturing moving people as the intelligent auto often chooses the night portrait scene for indoor people shots. In the manual it recommends using a tripod and having the subject stand still. I am trying to photograph active toddlers (18 months and 3 years old). I have found switching to sports helps sometimes. Canon rebel xsi, using 75-300 lens, taking photos of basketball game, pictures are blurry, especially the ones in "action" using the sports mode. also tried my 18-55 IS lens, same thing happening, using auto focus and stabilizer

That's a big lens and for sports photography you are going to need a lot of light to ensure you can use a fast shutter speed to capture the action. Sports mode may do too much for you and you might want to try switching to a more manual mode. Try s ... Canon EOS Rebel XSi Digital Camera

Shutter speed I have had my camera for 6 months. Today I used it for soccer pics and put it on sport mode and every pic I took is blurry. We looked on the information of the pics and the shutter speed is really low. My husband started to look and try to manually adjust some things and the speed will not change. States LOW. I also looked at the soccer portraits I took right before the action shots same day...and some of those are a little blurry as well. What could be wrong? Please help!

Hi K akima...have followed your advice, but no luck. When I go to continuous mode, it only lets me shoot a single shot, the display briefly reads r 08 then returns to r 09 again. I've tried my other lenses ( Sigma and Nikno ) and they autofocus okay and still show the r09 in the display, but again it won't allow me continuous shots, just the one. The Sigma 120-300 doesn't have an autofocus switch, and i've thoroughly cleaned the contacts. Yes it works manually but I need auto for sports pics. Un

I am using the DX7590 in sport mode inside a gym for a volleyball game and the pics all blurry. How can I correct this. Trying to use the flash, makes the pictures very dark.

The flash is useless unless you're down on the floor. You need to set the ISO to a higher number. This will make the shutter speed faster and stop the action. You'll need to experiment to find the correct number. ... Kodak EasyShare DX7590 Digital Camera

I have a Nikon D80 with a 18-135mm lens. I recently got an F-- where the aperture should appear. The error message in the manual says that "No lens attached."
