Having problems with your Fuji FinePix S3500 Digital Camera ?

Shutter speed I'm trying to work out the mode which gives the shutter speed of 1/1500 I think it's the 'sports' mode but unsure if aperture will also need adjusting Is this right? If not how do I achieve fastest shutter sped? Thanks

On most fuji cameras the programmed shutter speed for the sports or action mode is 1/1600. This is the mode you need to use. You should not have to change the aperature unless you have a problem with the light. This is the most difficult shot to make with a digi cam. So make sure you use a larger steady tripod for this shot (If you can't use a tripod crouch down on one knee and use the other as a support.) Keep a steady hand and don't make the mistake of creating camera shake by hurrying an action shot. I focus a little ahead of my subject, then snap the shot when I see they appear. This method even works with lightening. Practice making this kind of shot. You can get very good shots with some care and practice. Good luck.

Suddenly I can't control the aperture with the sub command dial in the manual mode. I have tried a "hard reset" and the two button reset to factory defaults. External Flash I set my Epson 3100z camera to manual mode and set up the camera for external flash. I manually set the shutter speed to 1/60 sec and the aperture to F4. I also set my SunPak flash to F4. My exposures seem pretty good. However when I review the various photo info's, the aperture reading is F5 or F4.8 not the F4 I set. Why is this? Anyone experienced this? The shutter speed are also not always what I set on the camera.

Shutter speed I have had my camera for 6 months. Today I used it for soccer pics and put it on sport mode and every pic I took is blurry. We looked on the information of the pics and the shutter speed is really low. My husband started to look and try to manually adjust some things and the speed will not change. States LOW. I also looked at the soccer portraits I took right before the action shots same day...and some of those are a little blurry as well. What could be wrong? Please help!

I have a Nikon D80 with a 18-135mm lens. I recently got an F-- where the aperture should appear. The error message in the manual says that "No lens attached." While in the M mode I couldn't adjust the aperture.

Shutter speed on the auto mode of my s1000 camera seems slow. how can it be increased in the auto mode? This is a Fuji camera and by the time I press the shutter button subjects have moved. I have set the camera back to the original factory settings and I can adjust the shutter speed in the manual position but in auto it seems really slow.

You need to press the shutter button half-way and allow the camera to lock in the focus before you press the rest of the way. This eliminates "shutter lag". ... Fuji FinePix S1000FD Digital Camera

Shutter speed I cannot remember the aperture, but when I try to take a picture of the moon with my FZ20, even @ 2.8 aperture, I certainly do not have 1/100s shutter speed, but more like 1/10 or even less (P mode). I wonder if there is a problem with my camera ? How can I check that it is correct ? Can someone with experience of moon shot give me some "standard" shutter/aperture so I can compare ?

Rule of thumb I read was f11 and then 1/ISO for shutter speed. This means that if you're using ISO 100, you use 1/100. ISO 80, then 1/80. White balance set to SUN (because moon is reflecting sunlight).\015\012\015\012Wait! My camera doesn't do f11!!! ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ20 Digital Camera
