I receive the same "errr" message. The photo shop said it was a bad contact, they cleaned them with an eraser and made sure there was good contact. Problem was slightly better, but still exists. I have to remove the battery to clear the problem, turning it off and back on does no good. You can actually feel the lense move ever so slightly. Camera has gone back to Nikon for a repair. Very disappointed at this point with this. Camera store acknowledged that they have seen many of these.

I mounted my camera on a tripod, selected a shallow depth of field, and shot each object. I found that at close range, my camera focused fine. The farther away the object, the more the camera focused behind the object. I returned the camera to Nikon for repair under warrantee. They made some adjustments. Card error I have a e-1. Two memory cards with 1 and 2 gb. I get a "card error" message when I insert either into the camera. I brought it to one camera shop. They said that a couple of the pins (that connect the memory card to the brains of the camera) were bent. Recently took it to another repair shop and he inserted a card with less memory and the camera worked. Is it the cards or the camera? Will the camera work (with bent pins or whatever) if I get a new memory card?

My Nikon D5000 gives out blurry pictures and the auto focus sometimes does not work. I've sent the lens to be examined & repaired and today I tested it again after being repaired. Today I took a picture of a person standing in front of a wooden fence and instead of focusing on the person (which was my intention), the camera focused on the fence. The result: The fence is sharp but the person is blurry. What causes this? Is it the lens or the body? How can I solve these problems?

Overexposure When I take any pictures, the images are overexposed. Recently while in the USA, the same problem happened and I took it in to a repair shop. Is there a way for me to reset it myself.
