Having problems with your Fuji FinePix S602 Zoom Digital Camera ?

Memory card I HAVE AN S602 FINEPIX FUGI CAMERA, AND BOUGHT AN 8-GIG MICRO MEMORY CARD. THE MESSAGE I RECIEVED WAS THAT IT WAS NOT INITIATED. SO I TRIED TO FORMAT IT, BUT RECIEVED AN ERROR MESSAGE. IS IT POSSIBLE TO USE THE 8-GIG MEMORY CARD IN MY CAMERA? YOUR HELP IS MUCH APPRECIATED. THANKS. BILL

Answers :

Because this camera only understads FAT16 formatting, it does not accept any card larger than 2GB so your best bet is to use the current crop of standard 2GB CF cards, most newer ones (usually 16X and faster) are alsa fast enough for continuous VGA video as well. The best brands IMO are Lexar and Sandisk, but avoid the WA enabled cards, this camera can't make use of WA, it just slows the througput down.

Alternatively you may partition your 8GB card to a 2GB partition, but the rest of the card won't be accessible.
Hi, in the manual it says 128MB max for smart media cards, its also takes microdrive in 340MB and 1GB. If card is not initialized it poss needs formating, contacts poss dirty or poss faulty card.

I have a Sanyo Xactiphoto and video camera. I fear I have lost 8 Gig of pictures, however, it may be there but I am not accessing it correctly. I know I used up all the memory and I get a message on activating the camera telling me something like 'star two the internal memory". Is it possible that the card is full and the camera has reverted to the internal memory? If so, how do I retrieve the data on the card? Thanks. Nick

I have a Pentax K 100 D. I have tried using a Flash Memory card (a Sandisk Ultra 16GB) but without success. The message 'Memory Card Error" is displayed even before I could format it. The card had previously been used to store files from my PC (where it worked perfectly) but the camera could not format it even after I had removed all the files etc by reformatting it in the PC (FAT32). Olympus D-435 Our camera has been working fine until last week when we started getting this error message - memory full on a blue screen when we had taken only one photo (and deleted all previous photos). Thinking there was a problem with the memory card, we removed it and used only the camera's internal memory which worked for a short while - allowing us to take 12 shots - but now it will only let us take 1 shot before giving us the error message. Is there anything I can do? Many thanks

Pictures missing some (not all) of pictures taken end up missing from the camera ; they can't be viewed on the camera or loaded into my pc.
